Aww I'm so glad my little scribbles inspired and touched you this way! Goodness, I can't wait for you to read the chapter about the Red Dress flashback!! XD But that's chapter 13 or 14 if I remember correctly so we still have a long way to go... Oh and once again you're very perceptive in your review! While I wrote this scene to add a little intimate moment between Maeve and Sinbad, it's also meant to delve into the mystery of the rainbow bracelets  It will be adressed again in further chapters but the real answers won't be revealed until much later |

Manche: I'm happy you like the new chapter! And I'm assuming your username over at ff.net is Trepkos? Your review was most welcome! I'm very happy you liked the many little aspects of the scene where Sinbad grieves for Maeve's loss. Also, you mentioned you would like to see similar scenes of the other crewmembers mourning her departure...Well, I haven't written any chapters with their point of view on the matter (because my narrative POVs for this story are mostly Maeve, Sinbad and Bryn) but in all the missing scenes you'll get to read for season 2, there are a few where Sinbad shares heart to hearts with Dermott, Firouz, Bryn...I'm also planning of writing one with Doubar and another one with Rongar... |

Chapter 5 - The GuideI apologize a thousand times for the delay but my life has been crazy lately. I have not seen November and December fly by and before I knew it, it was Christmas and now we're already in 2018. Time just moved insanely fast and I could barely keep up! But here's to the new chapters! Maeve is catapulted to the Island of Kalladrell and in the next few chapters she'll meet a bunch of people, the casting of which I will reveal as soon as they are all introduced, which should be around chapter 8. Sinbad's POV will return around chapter 13-14, with that Red Dress flashback Kriss figured out. Enjoy! |

Oh I can't wait for you to read that chapter either! The fangirl inside me is simply squealing with excitement! Haha! And you read my mind about the beta-reading! I did consider asking if someone would be interested in the job at some point, because I have *checks her folders* a grand total of 41 chapters to beta-read as of now. Which is kind of annoying because I'm currently writing chapter 42 so it gets really confusing sometimes when I have to jump back and forth in the story just to beta-read and post an earlier chapter  But honestly, my biggest problem in all of this is that I have very little time to spare on my laptop lately  which is not so bad in terms of writing the latest chapters (like chapter 42) because I usually scribble down notes on my cellphone before I officially pen it down, but it's a real problem for all those previous chapters I want to edit because I need my laptop to do that, and I have very little time to properly sit down to work on them at the moment BUUUUUT!!!!! A couple of days ago I downloaded the ff.net app!!!!!!!!!!!! By the stars how did I not know about this little gem before!?! It's pure magic!!! Now I have access to all my uploaded chapters and I can work on them directly on my cellphone, in the bus, in class, when I grab a bite, before I go to sleep!! It's so much simpler and faster!!! Seriously! In just two days I'm almost through with chapter 6-7-8!! So anyway, I'll see how it goes from here, and if I still struggle and need a hand I'll definitely turn to you |

I fully understand what you mean. I am not writing as much as you do but have the same way of working. Making notes anytime/anywhere it is possible, back up it on my mailbox. Then once have some time collect it and turn into one piece but as you said it is not always an easy task. Beta reading your own texts is not an easier task at all. At least for me it is a torture and not always ends with effective results, because when I know the text I am not able to capture some even trivial mistakes. Even at work before sending some more important e-mail I am asking my colleague to give it a look and she is doing exactly the same once she is sending something. I think it is quite natural. So if you need a hand, feel free to ask And yeah...By the stars how come I did not know about the app before!? I downloaded it only yesterday once read about it from you. My smartphone - it is "my universe management center". And now, I can have even FF.net on it. Awsome. For me the app is far more user friendly then the site itself, isn't it? Thanks! |
