Hm, the name rings a bell. I think the book was in the press a few years ago when it was published because the author was so young, right? Never read it though.

Yes, she was 17 when the book was published.

And 12 when she started it I think. Is she better than Paolini? *likes Inheritance but think it´s a wee tad overrated*

Paolini started Eragon when he was 15. I've never read Inheritance but maybe I will this summer.

It´s an okay read even though it does have its lengths especially in books 2 and 3 and in case you know Star Wars the first book might be... kinda predictable. And if you know Star Wars, the history of Alagaesia (the country the whole thing is set in) and the main characters miiiight seem familiar

I love Star Wars, so maybe I would like that book. I will read it when I finish Faerie Wars

I love Star Wars, too. It was just that Inheritance I had several moments where I thought. "Oh wait... if this books keeps copying Star Wars like it does till now, this and that is gonna happen ... *reads on* Oh... see? Said so."

Well, I never read the Star Wars books, and I like the Inheritance Trilogy well enough. Enough so that I'm waiting for the fourth book in any case to come out.

Rongar: Nah, I meant the Star Wars movies. Don´t wanna go into details not to spoil anything.

MalaI'll reply here from the couple and pairings tread Really? Actually I don't think that Snape is handsome, but is quite fascinating in is coolness and attitude. If he would have kept on his grudges he wouldn't have protected Harry, or sacrificed himself as a spy. I must confess. To me the jerks had always been Sirius and James. But I was lucky. All my friends who were into HP had my same thought ;D ;D

Snape certainly is an interesting character, definitely one of the characters with most facets in the series. So yeah, he was a favourite, in a way, but as of what characters I grew fond of, he wans´t really among them.
On James and Sirius: *nods* Yep. As much as I like Sirus, he can be a jerk at times and sometimes he´s not much better about old grudges than Snape is. As for James: he lost tons of sympathy points in HBP *nods* My favourites on a whole are Remus, Tonks, Hermione, Ron and kinda Sirius.
