So I put my little fics on FFN. I figured I collect them all under the same header so I don't spam the place up. Three of them have already been posted in this very thread and one of them is fresh for your reading pleasure ;D www.fanfiction.net/s/9093331/1/FlotsamCh 1 is The water and the dance (Sinbad contemplates the water) Ch 2 is Little Brothers (Maeve and Doubar share a moment) Ch 3 is The importance of Bacon (Pregnant Maeve wants bacon) Ch 4 is Location, Location, Location (Magical relocation of the willing and the unaware)

Wow, your definitely on a roll there, MJ! O.O Love the little fic. And it's, once again, fascinating to me how you always are so realistic in your fics and spice them up with some background knowledge and things. Great. Haha, and true that... I guess it's never a wise thing to get between a pregnant woman and her desired food. xD

yeah, combine that with the fic that finally made it to Firouz and the tags I've been sending you and I wonder why my fingers aren't bleeding But does anyone know how a woodburning stove on a ship would work? Do they fire it up every morning? Do they bank it? What about in heavy weather? And can we assume that while Maeve and/or Dim-Dim were magically enlarging the insides of the Nomad, Firouz was inventing a water-filter because I don't want to think about them drinking the bottom of the barrel stuff.

True that! Your muse and fingers are definitely doing double-shifts these days, if not more. ;D As for a woodburning stove on a ship though... honestly enough I would have no idea. Same as for the water. Though in general I think they didn't really drink much water anyway. They mostly had beer on board I would think - because that does not get foul like water does. And clear water surely was only there for the first few days, but that's just my guess. I would have to do some research on the topic to give some real advice.

Well, I just sent the story back! I looks good! Just a few things maybe for you to look at. I know, that they had beer for the majority of their drinks, but they did have water for the beginning week to a week and a half out of port. But, Firouz, built a water purifier...didn't he? I'm not sure if that's canon or fanon by now though. But, its almost a sure thing that he could have had one built so, either way the Nomad crew should be able to have water. As for the fire...they did their very best NOT to have fires on board Here's a web site of modern Omanians using ancient techniques of travel.... should help us a lot here eh? ;D news.asiaone.com/News/The%2BNew%2BPaper/Story/A1Story20100712-226610.html

MJ: Lovely new piece! R&R back on ff.net. @firouz: I would think it's fanon. Or at least I don't remember a water purifier being mentioned in the show.

Awww gals! I've got seven reviews from you! I am sending you hundreds of hugs and kisses with my mind! @firouz: interesting link! It seems our crew has been having a WAY easier time than they would've if it'd been historically accurate. Also, upon further inspection I noticed the Nomad doesn't have a fok at all. I couldn't see properly but... does it have an aft-sail? I'll go and look into those charcoal stoves they mentioned in the link. 5th century Persian sailing practices... actually kind of interesting! ;D OK, so the ship they used is probably a heavy dhow with Lateen rig called a Baglah en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baghlah

Aaaand, another one. This is the one Firouz helped me out with. I don't recommend reading it because it's sad. It made me pretty sad just writing it. Link for The Void: www.fanfiction.net/s/9095660/1/The-VoidReally, these people should stop living in my head.

*Hugs* Thanks Firouz! Glad you liked it. And yeah, Dim-Dim getting dementia so soon after he got back was super-sad And Caipra wanting to protect him to badly though completely conflicted on Maeve having to pay the price for it. So Sad!
