Thea laughed under her breath. Khei made no secret of her dislike of Ashven. She cleared her throat. "Care to go home? It's been quite a day."

Khei smiled and gave a light nod.
"Home. There's a nice word if ever I heard one. That sounds like a very good idea to me."

"Great." She smiled. She gripped tight on her horse's reins and eased him into a trot. "I need some sleep and this bruise on my shoulder had better heal fast or you an have another reason to not like Ashven." She grinned. "Anyways, I think I could do with a good sleep tonight."

"A good night's sleep sounds good too."
Khei followed suit, bringing her horse into a trot behind Thea's. She let her mind wander but it kept returning to questions that nagged at her about that obnoxious, stubborn mule of a man they left behind. As much as she fought it they relentlessly gnawed at the back of her mind.

A golden eye watched as the two horses trotted passed. The silver blotched tabby cat licked a paw and rubbed the one eye that was swollen almost shut. The rubbing did little to help so the cat gracefully jumped down from it's perch and trotted down the street after the horses, though not without a slight limp in it's gait.
Though it seemed to follow the horses, often enough it would dart down an alley and disappear for a while before reappearing from another alley further along where it would sit and watch, licking and rubbing at it's eye, as they passed before resuming it's trotting behind the horses at a fair distance.
