Khei nodded quietly, stifling a low growl in her throat. She shook her head at what she perceived as a demand from Ash.
"I have no reason to spread such things but if asked I will not lie."
She gave him a final glare before storming off toward where they had left the horses. She had decided that she'd wait there for Thea as she'd had enough of Ash.

Thea started to follow Khei but she paused. She looked over her shoulder, crossed her arms over her chest and said to Ash, "Remember the advice I gave you before? Be poilte and you won't start a riot? Your abrasive manner won't get you anywhere. We were willing to help you, and now look at the position you're in." She didn't bother trying to hide the anger in her voice. She was more than ready to leave and follow Khei's lead to the horses.

Ashven's grin faded as he glanced off to the ocean. The mortal world was already proving to be much more trouble than he had expected it to be. He began to question his own motives for coming here in the first place. Short of procuring a ship and sailing of to gods know where, he was at a loss as to just how much help anyone could provide. He disregarded her advice for the moment as he wasn't in much of a mood to be lectured and made no attempt to hide the twinge of contempt from his voice.
"And what sort of help do you think I could possibly expect? None but those already departed know where to go."
He knew he could have worded that better.. More politely.. But his depressive mood from before had already began giving way to angry frustration and annoyance.

Thea scowled. What would it take for him to to stop being so...so Ashven. He was as stubborn as an ox.
She place her hands on her hips."There are ways," she said sharply. "There is a thing called a harbour master. If you want information who has docked here, he'll know." She said the words swiftly and with a hard edge to it.

Ash raised an eyebrow. He was tempted to imitate Thea's stance but resisted as he stood back up. He regarded her for a moment before sighing. He restrained himself, forcing a more polite manner in his speech.
"Very well.. Perhaps I was somewhat hasty. Where might I find this harbor master?"

"You can go figure out that one out for yourself," she said with a condescending smile. "As for me..." she continued, taking a couple of paces back, "...I will be following my friend's lead and leaving you to your business." Her melodramatic exit (though Thea would have liked to think it was a triumphant one) was ruined when she lost her footing and fell onto ground. She stood up and dusted the dirt off her trousers, her embarrassment burnt at her cheeks. "The damn harbour master would be found somewhere near here, okay? Probably expecting one of the ships I suppose."

Ash smirked at Thea's stumble but did nothing to help. Instead leaning against the crate again. Chivalry was obviously not one of his strong points. He gave a small nod.
"Very well then. I'll see if I can find this harbor master.."
He seemed to choke on the words again.
"Thank you."

"You're welcome," she said a little breathlessly, still recovering from the fall. "You're getting better at your manners, I see." She couldn't help but laugh. She turned around and was halfway to Khei and the horses when she called out to him. "Ash, that money you owe...harbour masters never give out information but they usually speak the language of money. A couple of coins would loosen his tongue!"

Ash nodded with a smirk. He seemed to get an idea in his head and stood up again, straightening out his tunic.
"I'll keep that in mind."
He turned and started to head off toward the docks again when he stopped and turned just enough to call back.
"Until we should meet again."
He gave a sort of salute before disappearing behind a crate.

When Ashven vanished from her sight she turned around and walked towards Khei. She took a quick glance over her shoulder where Ashven had been moments before. Thea hoped he would be okay, afterall his journey to find his gemstone hadn't exactly been easy. She wondered what other secrets that Djinn kept and if all their paths would cross again. She shrugged and approached Khei.
"I bet you're glad his gone," she said, smiling. " I can see you two being the best of friends."

Khei nodded, holding out the reins to Thea's horse out to her. It was obvious that she was more than happy to leave one member short of a trio. She smiled lightly at the sarcasm in Thea's voice, adding her own comment to the mix as she got herself back onto the roan mare.
"Oh yes. That is, if best friends made a habit of strangling each other."
She chuckled lightly, the chiding lifted her mood. She looked back toward the box and sighed slightly.
"Would have been nice to get the extra money but that man just grates against my nerves. It's no wonder those men were beating him so."

Thea took the reins from Khei and nodded in thanks. Thea laughed. "He does have that affect on people." She mounted her horse. "I do hope he will be alright though. I hope he doesn't share the same fate as that merchant. Khei, you being magical, I'm not sure if that's the right word for, but do you have any knowledge of these Djinn? Where I come from magic is very uncommon and Djinn is known as a demon." Ashven didn't strike her as a demon, though at times you wouldn think so.

Khei shook her head and held up her left arm, nodding to the bracer.
"Only thing magical about me are these things. But no.. I've never heard of a Djinn till today.. I dunno what they are save for that they must be an annoying bunch if they're all like him. Where I came from there was only the demon and farming. Nothing magical there.. Not that I was aware of at least."

Thea nodded. "I've only heard they were demonic shapeshifters. Ashven: Demonic- no. Shapeshifter - perhaps. It would explain the wolf."

Khei thought about it and shrugged.
"I suppose it's a possibility. Either way, I think, I much prefer taking leave of him."
