Actually, when coming to think about it, I may remain quiet until my spring break starts, which is this Friday, but with try to keep up with the progress of the story. Currently Dermott is above and Bryn is below. I would like to talk with you first, Sinbad. Then I will chat with Dermott, or the other way around. Anyway, good luck with your chat with Doubar. And please try to crank up the speed. I noticed Sinbad logged in three times but yet has not responded to Doubar. Take this as a natural conversation with your friend. Don’t try too hard. It makes it seem less realistic. A great actor can take a characters role and assimilate it into his own, just like if he really was the character. I know, it takes practice.

All right, whatever suits you best And Firouz, please be a bit patient with me. I hit f5 now and then during the day to check on the board, but I am still busy working so I will reply when my work is done.

Hm, and if I might add my thoughts here: In deed writing fluently creates a natural athmosphere. But thing is: often enough we're not on at the same time, so when I start focusing on Doubar and write down something that would fit him I have to stop again 'caus the answer may take a few hours. And for Sinbad it's just the other way round. And that just makes it hard to simply stay in the line. At least for me it means getting into the flow anew each time. And that takes a while. And even if Sinbad's online, too then after a few posts my brain feels empty. I'm not used to express my thoughts in English anymore and therefore I find it quite hard to concetrade not only on a stranger (-> Doubar) but also on how to express what I have in mind in a foreign language. So, as word over here goes: Patience is a virtue, Firouz.

I understand now. English is not your native language, so what comes easy to me is hard for you. You have to translate it into English. I can't imagine how hard it is for the girl from Bangladesh to translate everything into English. English is pretty much spread throughout Europe and Canada, but Bangladesh. I know Bangladesh used to be part of India which was a colony of Britain, so English may have spread throughout India.
I'm just saying, don't take this too seriously. If you can't think of something in character, just say as if you were told that. Heck that's what I do.

That makes me think of the fact that I don´t translate any more. I don´t think of the German words when writing or talking in English. It´s like there are two sets of vocab in my head, the German one being the bigger of the two, but anyways...
As for in or out of character: I think it´s a way of how you approach things and what sort of character you play. Originals can be easier there, but for canons it´s always the question o me vs. them. I might not agree with something my canon charcter does (the same might go for canons of course). Ideally, I come to a point, where a character develops a life of its own, acting perfectly in character and dragging me along so to say.

I was answering Doubar's comment. I can see you (Sinbad) are fairly fluent in English, otherwise I would be surprised that you chose to make a board in English instead of German, other than the fact that English is second only to Spanish as the Indo-European language spoken as a first or second language, and is fifth in the world as being spoken as a first or second language.
I think as myself as kind-of like having multiple personalities with each character being a part of me. That way, whatever a character does would be the same thing I would do, or would want to do. If Bryn shouts and Sinbad, I would probably shout at Sinbad, as if he was in front of me. UGH! You sometimes make me so mad I could... *uses her hands to express her anger*

Well, for me it's a mixture of both: some parts do already come to my mind in English while others pop up in German. It's a crazy thing and hard to explain. But, yeah, it's a bit straining to have this jumble in my head. And about the personalities: *grins* Hehe, now I would love to see you sitting infront of your computer writing posts in a scene where Firouz and Bryn are in. *imagines Tai argueing with himself about whether magic is better than science or not*

Whatever works best for you. I would love to have an arguement with Firouz, but it would be more likely to have an argument with Sinbad or Maeve since they, not Firouz, usually have something which conflicts with Bryn. Firouz is too much of a gentleman to have such of an argument. A Bryn would never shout at Firouz like she could at Sinbad or Maeve. Actually I had a nice argument with Maeve based on "Three Days." In that argument, however, I played both Maeve and Bryn.
About the story, ah, how sweet. I guess you are better talking to him than me. Bryn will come and check on Sinbad, working out some conflicts that may have risen. I will wait for Sinbad to signal nighttime by going to the tiller for his nightly shift before I come up. Meanwhile, I could have a little chat with Firouz below.

Yeah, think you're right there. Have no idea what Firouz would have to do to make Bryn shout at him. Most likely aslong as none of them is under some spell that's someting that won't ever happen. And the story: haven't read Sinbad's answer yet but am glad you like what the two are chatting about. And am sure Bryn will have enough chance to have that talk she so wants to have with the captain.

*snickers* And I´m not sure if the captain should be scared or not Speaking of spells... what was this episode in season 2 called again where Sinbad was under hypnosis and being like totally bossy?

The German title was "Kundalinis Geheimnis". I'm not sure what the English was though.

Ah yeah. "The passengers" it had been. Sad story though. With both of them (father and daughter) dying in the end.
