Dear Sirs and Madams of Distant Lands,

I proudly present a tiny little story that I have written some days ago. It's short and shouldn't take you all too much time to read. The introduction already says a lot about what this is about, and yet it might hold some little surprises for you [the suspense should be already killed off after the first line though ;D ].

I invite you to take a minute and give it a read.
I hope you enjoy it.

Oh, and following Kriss I made sort-of a promo pic for it. *grins* Now, after you have seen that one, I think you already know the basic plot of the story, but, heh, who cares? ;D

And about Cass: I just knew you would recognize her. ;D Aya, it's Cassie. I loved the little girl ever since and after I had written Silent joy I wondered if maybe I could do a fanart for it - and I began pondering about a fitting child. And that's where Cassie popped up in my mind. I asked Bryn about her opinion concerning Cass and she agreed that the little girl could very well be their daughter ... and here we are. ;D

I don't mind anything, sure you could choose another name but have to admit I felt little strnage reading about Sinbad's daughter who is not Marina. But it's just because I love that girl, she my baby and nothing can change it

Now as for answers to the reviews:
1) Mala: First of all: wow! Thanx for your words and for declaring it as one of your favourites. I really feel honoured.
And about the review itself: yeah, I indeed picture Brea as a beautiful child - not only in her looks but mainly peronsality-wise. But in fact, I envisioned both, Maegan and Brea, being protected this much. And of course Mala will also look after Maegan (she after all is her grand-daughter as well), but I figured that since only Doubar knows of the golden Roman coin and what it means to his mother, it would be him who uses it as a lucky charm as well (and we saw in Hell House that he does). So once I had seen he always has a coin with him, I knew that did he ever have a daughter/child, he would give her/him one as well. But, true enough, since this fic is centred on Bryn, Doubar and Brea I focused Mala's protection on the little brunette. And I am glad you liked how I added it. Thank you for that one.

2)alex: *hugs tightly* Still thank you, honey. I have no idea whether I would have ever posted it had you not encouraged me to do so. But you are right: this is what friends are there for.
And, *snortgiggles* uh I have the feeling this captain doesn't mind his daughter and niece to be as attached (or even more than him? ;D ) to the seas as he is. ;D

3)@kal: Oh, okay. ^^ Well, to be honest, I don't think it would be a direct follow-up of this one. It might happen it is, but that's not sure. More likely it might be a mixture of past and future scenes; of missing-scenes and made up stuff. Don't know yet. *shrugs, smiles*
In any case: thank you for your words, honey. And I'm glad to hear you like this outline. ;D
Avout Cassie: actually she even appeared in two eps as a child. And in both she was just adorable.

4)@kriss: OMG, thank you, honey! And yeah, I know it must be strange to read another name there. And after all "my" Maegan would be pretty much like your Marina - so technically I could have used the same name. But then again I didn't know where your story is heading to... and finally something inside me decided to go for another name. But, with your allowance, should I ever make a fanart with both cousins, I would very much like to use Marina for this.
And sure, if I were you, she would always be my favourite, too. And in fact - as you know - I just adore Marina. But maybe this even was one of the reasons why I changed my mind about this: because Marina is your "baby".

My Marina...hymm... well she is going to me very active, full of crazy ideas, arobatic and smart as her father and on the other hand storng, confident, bitchy as her mother, just perfect and very dangerous mix ;D

I think in my story Bryn will never be with Doubar because if even Sinbad and Maeve won't kill her, she will probably never get back on the good side and to the crew.

@kriss: Heh, yeah, that's exactly how I picture Marina. She simply rocks. ;D ;D ;D But, well, I guess Maegan is indeed a bit different to her then. Even though she, too, has Maeve's spirit and her dad's sense for adventure, I guess she's a bit calmer than Marina. Might simply be due to her naturally looking after Brea who I envision would be to her a bit like what Dermott is to Maeve.

And yeah, that's just what I thought. There was a moment where I pondered if maybe Silent joy could be like a look into the future of your storyline, but I quickly abandoned that one and seems that's been just right this way.

Well, we'll see what my muse (and my time *_* ) say about this one. ;D Uh, one thing I'd need to know for that one though: could you give me the actress and the name of Marina's character. I haven't got a single pic of her.

About Cassie, her character even appeared in a third episode, but it wasn't the same actress, because she was older.
I saw the actress, Katie Stuart, on another show too, called "The crow". She's a great actress.

Concerning the sailors, these poor guys will quickly notice that Kalhan is not easy to seduce. ;D
As for Marek, I don't know why, but I'm sure he will like the idea... ;D
