@anthea That's good to hear. Welcome back ^^ Scratch lol I like playing characters who are being played so to speak. I've got a pure evil character as well I could see about bringing into play later.. I think you'd like Ashven. We can even have some fun plotting a true history if we wanna really throw a twist in there that the history and memories she has aren't real. (Character torture is sooo much fun) Ultimately I'd like her to end up being "good" or at least neutral because if I bring Ashven into play I'd rather have all the bad guy fun with him. (Once we actually get rolling with all this I might start plotting his profile at the very least) Only thing that would really change is that he'd be a Djinn instead of a Gahlar (Formerly Gingitsune) Anyways.. enough of that.. *Wrings her hand with a nasty grin* Lessie.. Is there anything else we need to iron out before starting?

@ Anthea I can start up a thread later this evening. ATM I'm helping My Mother obtain her Artifact Armor in FFXI. *Eyerolls* lol
[edit]
Okay.. we've established that we're starting in Baghdad soo.. Should we start in the streets or Marketplace? I'm thinking Marketplace would make the most sense. Input?

I really didn't want to double post but this needs its own post me thinks..
Since I've finally made Khei an official profile I'd like to keep using this thread for tossing ideas around and whatnot (So I don't clutter the board with a thread for every little idea.)
That being said, I'd like to start drafting a profile here for Ashven so that he's ready if/when I need/want him. Plus get input on what everyone thinks of him and any tweeks we need/want to make him fit better. (He won't likely need much)
Ashven - Rough Draft Mark 1
Name : Ashven
Age : Unknown/Ageless Appears around mid to late 20s
Race/Species : Djinn
Height : Varies. Usually Average Human Height.
Weight : Unknown. Assumed Average Human Weight.
Build : Well Toned.
General Appearance :
* Human : Nicely tanned but not overly so. His black hair is of a medium short length rather unkempt yet neat. His eyes seem to change color all the time but often settle into a golden color. Ashven will rarely be seen without a smile or at the very least a smirk. His smile often has the effect of making people feel uneasy. His one unique physical trait is a small gemstone shaped "scar" on his forehead.
* Non-Human : As a Djinn, Ashven can, and does, change shape. Some of his favorite forms include a wolf, a cat, and a crow though he is not limited to these forms. In any form he chooses to take, He tends to have golden colored eyes and a patch of discolored fur/scales/skin/feathers in the same place as the "scar" on his forehead when he's human.
Clothing : Varies. Often a simple tunic, vest, slacks, and boots. Colors vary but tend to be tan or greenish in color.
Accessories : None
Abilities : Shape shifting, granting wishes to anyone foolish enough to ask, (Intentionally the wish would always end up being something that does not turn out well for the wisher), and generally making life miserable for humans whenever and wherever possible. A few things Ashven cannot do is bring back the dead. He can make an illusion as if he has but he cannot truly bring back the dead. Nor can he alter the flow of time or any other such things.
History : Unknown and he likes it that way.
Personality : If you simply met him at the marketplace you might be dazzled by his seemingly natural charm. Indeed, upon first meeting Ashven, he is a rather charming, suave, handsome young man with a quick wit and a quicker tongue. Always smiling. But once you know him you can't help but feel something dark and sinister yet you never can put your finger on it but it's there.. behind that smile. That smile that, at times, can send shivers up your spine.
Weakness : The type of Djinn that Ashven is have a rather useful weakness. They MUST obey anyone who holds their "Kinstone". The "scar" on Ashven's forehead is where his Kinstone should be found. It's unknown why or how it came to be missing but he is a desperate search to retrieve it. Should his Kinstone be destroyed, he too, would be destroyed. (As a small note, Ashven's Kinstone is Amethyst in appearance.)
Played by : Craig Horner (Assuming he's not been claimed already as he's a dead ringer for what I've always imagined Ashven would look like in human form)

About the play: If I can throw in my humble opinion in here, I, too, would think the market place to be a sensible location for the start. Thea could easily enough be around to get some stuff she needs. But in the end this is of course up to you two. About Ashven: I don't see any problem with him. As a Djin he fits perfectly into the world of AoS and his skills sounds okay, too, and should not create any imbalance. I could imagine him to interact with the dark family as - as we know from Iblis - they have worked together with Djins before. And no, Craig Horner, indeed is still free to be taken.

Khei: Wow! I liked it. I liked lots. I told ya before about your "Kittora " story, but indeed you have a good and easy writing way that makes one don't want to get their eyes away from the lines till the end would you continue what will happen to her or will wait for someone else to interfere? Boy! I really wanna know how she will get herself out of this tight situation!

Khei: Well done. I like your post. It's a nice intro and as for what Bryn asked: I guess this would be the perfect time for Thea or Scratch to show up, right (have no idea what you maybe have planned on)? ^^ Oh, and P.S.: I have to admit I kinda forgot in which thread you had explained the "only one child [-> Khei] survived" thing to me, but yup, does make sense.

Thanks. I was trying to be descriptive without overdoing it. And yeah. Ended the post where I did so that Anthea or Scratch can get involved, or just watch, if they like.

Hey just popping in ;D Have we decided Scratch will come in in disguise (if thats the plan about the disguise) or Thea will turn up now in the post?

At this point I was figuring Thea could come into play. TBH I'm sorta winging it thus far. (I'm used to the story evolving based on character interaction)

Khei: Hum, yeah, we hope to eventually get to this point, too. However, till now we had to plan things quite often. Might it be reasoned in players going MIA or maybe simply in the fact that a good portion of this board's poeple has never before rp-ed. So, some basic plotting (as in: just agree on a short general line, no details as they come from the interaction anyway) for the starting point would not be bad I think.
