*has read, agrees with Sinbad* Yup, definitely sounds way more fitting. Good work there, khei. As about her whereabouts? Hum, that's kind of difficult as we're still stuck in Basra pretty much at the beginning of our story. And having khei show up in Basra now as well would be a little odd since Basra already has become the meeting point for almost all our new characters. So, ahm, this is just a question now and you need not take up on it (let alone that first off some discussion is being needed which doesn't affect you but another member's character), and Scratch would have to agree here, too, but ... well, I could very well imagine the devil would be very interested in someone who holds the ability of dreamwalking and derives from a demon's magic. So maybe you could start off your career here at DL with rp-ing with the devil. Just an idea. I mean, it depends on what you think Khei would have done after she lost her home: is she trying to settle down or wandering around? Has she gotten used to this real world already? Does she already know where she wants her place to be (i.e. good or evil)? Maybe those questions could help to sort out just where she is right now. P.S.: Just being curious: have you already any idea who shall be khei's actor?

@kriss: Well, basically khei has introduced her character to us - or better to say: she shared her idea with us. Thing is, Khei is sort of her standart/favourite rpg-character and thus needs a little adjustment to fit into our play. And so what we were doing here was discussing about which points of her character already fit for DL and which had to be altered. *is not Sinbad but comments on it nevertheless * Meh, and who does like it at all? It was the worst AoS episode ever if you ask me. xD

Considering Scratch is more than capable of tricking folks to do his bidding I think it more than fitting. Agreed he would likely like to harness that type of potential.
And given for this variation of Khei, even having spent a fair amount of time in the real world, she's still remained isolated so she'd still be ignorant to many things. In Short easy to fool. Up to this point I'd imagine she has no set in stone idea of good and evil.
I'd figure that at this point she's departed from the mage and has struck out in hopes of making her own way. So Wandering would be what she's likely doing at this point.
Make any sense?

@doubar
No clue actually. lol Open to suggestions..

Khei: Makes perfect sense. And this would make khei be the perfect target for Scratch and thus would give both of you the opportunity to start rp-ing without needing to wait for the guys who currently are stuck at the tavern. Also this would give your character a nice chance of development and only because Scratch tries and get her to join him, doesn't mean she has to end up on his side. Or she does. That will be up to the play. Alternatively or in addition to that, you could ask any of the other originals who haven't entered the play yet. We could, after all, start a parallel story where khei arrives in another town (let it be Baghdad or anything) and meets one of our other originals who would represent the good side and at the same time has Scratch trying to convince her. *shrugs* Just some ideas but I see a great potential in your character when counting in Scratch into all this. I mean, things can take so many ways with your khei there for even if Scratch could convince her of helping him in the first place, this wouldn't mean she'd always follow that way for maybe one day she would learn to distinct between good and evil. *feels she's getting lost* Anyhow, I definitely like what you wrote in that latest post 'caus with khei having no real idea about this world, her (future) story and history gets a whole lot more interesting. .... Hum, brown shoulder length hair you say and striking green eyes? Hum... nha, at the moment I don't have an idea either but should I come up with something, I'll immediately tell you. And maybe one of the others has some good idea.

cool draft Hum, sounds that you finally reached to a meeting point , but I'll say something anyway I think that i too support Dermott's idea of her having a jinn-sort of heritage . In fact in most-may be all- the real Arabian nights including Sinbad's, we can read lots of talks about jinns, the enemies most of the main characters have to face. we know too that jinns are two types. the evil ones who follows Iblis and they are very evil. and the good ones who are kind and tend not to harm humans. having Khei from such world gives her quite good abilities. she could be unseen, transform her shapes-and i think this one fits Khei's ideas somehow about dream walking idea it's good too as there is a wide belief among people especially illiterate that jinn can enter human bodies.

*Hangs her head in shame*
I don't remember that episode.. might be one of the many I never saw originally.. Again TV guides around this area are almost NEVER right..
Even now.. Every Wednesday I watch Destination Truth and all the TV guides have it listed at 10pm local time.. We get east coast feeds and DT is east coast feed for us so it comes on at 7pm instead.
I'm sure it got downloaded in the torrents I have so I'll get to it eventually.. (Watching in order atm so only got through Eye of Kratos last night)
BOT
Yeah I thought even maybe the mage that found her coulda been one of Scratch's lackies or something.. She could end up unwittingly being his little minion till she ends up having her eyes opened to the truth blah blah blah.
On the Jinn idea.. maybe the demon who owned the pocket dimension captured some jinn and altered them in said pocket dimension?
Could just leave it as her entire history up to that point has simply been an illusion? Perhaps an illusion conjured by Scratch himself? Maybe he created her himself with some sinister plan in mind..
Truthfully we could have alot of fun with this..

Khei: Which ep? That UFO one? Oh, heh, it will take you quite a while then to get there. It's part fo S2. And about the rest: well, guess my tired brain is not really capable of making useful comments on the things you just mentioned, but basically, yes, if Scratch is fine with this, we could have him have much more influence in this whole thing than we thought about till now. And either way, I agree with you: with khei being from such a pocket dimension and being created and now having to find her way in this world, she does make for a great character and having her in the play will be cool. And, well, just in case Scratch shouldn't stop by anytime soon: if you like the ideas with Scratch and would like to brainstorm on all this together with him, we could try to contact him and ask him to stop by as soon as he's got time. He's a bit busy at the moment but I'm sure he would be thrilled to hear about another creature he can play with. ;D

So Scratch is responsible for Khei's dimension?

@ Anthea
Well it's something that could be a possibility.. Anything involving Scratch would, of course, have to be run past his player first..
Just brainstorming possibilities.

Hmm, read the first draft, not too bad, but like Sinbad and Doubar said, Khei doesn't seem to fit in the fandom with such a bio. Now on to the main point. I do like the second bio, it makes much more sense, with the demon creating her in a pocket dimension; her ending up in under an old magician's wing later on, etc. Which brings me to ask this question, is the old magician in question DimDim, or another sorcerer? If it's the former, then Khei would be spending some time by herself for a while, or just being a pointless Nomad, since DimDim was banished to another dimension and all. But if it's the latter, then sure, her absence from the mainstream places in the AOSverse would make some sense, and once she gets out, Scratch is most likely to pick up the scent of the fellow unnatural being, and start his schemes from there. Problem being, he's still with Sarah in an island nearby the kingdom of Asher, so would that entirely be retconned into Scratch meeting Khei instead, or are Scratch and Sarah's interactions (and revenge-on-Bryn-subplot) will remain intact? Let me know of any adjustments, and I'd be happy to play out the scenario with Khei too.

Scratch: Of course I cannot answer to khei here, but personally I would vote for the magician not being DimDim. We already have Maeve, Bryn and the brothers being taken up by him and had severe problems making Sean fit into it all. Another soul he's taken care of would be a bit too much I think. Therefore I personally would vote for the random magician - but in the end this of course khei has to decide on. About Sarah: well, that's a thing that will need some discussion. I sent Mody a mail yesterday, asking what shall happen with his characters. Either he agrees on setting them onto our "free-to-be-taken" list or he does not want to have anyone else play them (which would be his right after all). In the latter case the current plotline with Sarah would be futile anyway; if he sets her free to be taken by another player, we would have to do a little brainstorming about what to do now. We could uncouple the crew's current plotline from the Sarah-one for the time being and take up on it again after someone has taken her over. Personally I think, with a little brainstorming, there should be no problem with you and khei starting a plotline. We'd simply need to figure out where to settle it timeline-wise and make it fit with the circumstances we have now [personal idea would be for example: instead of detecting Sarah while spying on the crew, he detects khei 1]. Just my ideas. P.S.: If you are okay with this, Khei - and if Thea would like the idea as well - I would maybe propose you three to start a plotline in Baghdad or somewhere else. This way we could, finally, get our newbies to enter the game . 1 Important info: I asked Mody about his characters and he said that he would ask us not to give Sarah to someone else but rather let her be. This would mean the Sarah-storyline to be futile which makes me really recommend you the mentioned version.
