Snow! You are so lucky! We rarely get snow down here in North Carolina. We get ice instead, and that is much worse. With a strong ice storm, power could be out for days.
Hate to bring back the Global Warming stuff, but don't worry Maeve, if Global Warming continues (which it probably would) warmer temperatures would be pushed to higher latitudes of North America, meaning you could see warmer average temperatures in Canada. Unfortunately, that would mean colder temperatures over Europe, typically Western Europe which includes Germany. Don't you just love it.

Oh guys. Have the feeling everytime I'm away you get way more talkative than when I'm around ... x) Now about the drawings: Both of you are really talented! Wow! And I admire just how you use those colours, Daisy. I really suck at giving colours to a drawing I make. And about the faces: aye, hard work to make them look good. Personally, I find the mouth to be the hardest. Everytime I try to draw it I either get into comic-style or it somehow doesn't fit in the face *thinks about the only two portraits she ever made which look at least somehow decent and sighs* ... So, maybe these are the reasons for turning to draw rather unicorns and faries with only using a pencil... Anyways. Fantastic work both of you! ;D @sinbad: Well, I like snow and cold ... as long as it is followed by spring at the right point of time. I absolutely love the seasons! Unfortunately you're right. There almost are none anymore... Oh, and @firouz: Sorry, mate. Though I've got some basic knowledge about chemistry and physics I have no plan how to solve this. My only idea would be that photosynthesis-thing as this is the natural way of eleminating CO2. But this is such a complex thing...

Dr. Lindsey, my Organic II professor, has a research group which is studying how to make synthetic chlorophyll. Boy was he a hard organic professor. Imagine being taught by an expert who can't really see why students are not understanding. Just memorize it. But why does this work. Don't ask why, just memorize it. But maybe I should ask him. Maeve, you know a little chemistry. Any bright ideas. Please share.

@dermott: Wow bro! Those drawings of yours are great! The Christine ones remind me of Jane Austen somehow... Thank you sister mine. Actually I'm a huge Lucy Maud Montgomery fan , and usually Lucy admirers also like Jane Austen ;D, so, perhaps, in drawing the Christine picture I've been uncounsciously influenced @doubar Thank you, To me the hardest are the eyes, usually I have to redone them countless of times , and anatomies are like a curse. I prefer to color, to be honest ;D, I'm learning digital coloring with photoshop and corel painter, and it's absolutely fun. Wow, you draw unicorns and fairies? Just like Jaqueline Collen Tarolly? Anyone to share ?

I usually enjoy drawing the eyes most, because if you get them right it all seems to fall into place or at least it´s that way with portraits. Once you got the eyes right, it works, because they make up for most of the actual resemblance.

Yes it's true, if the eyes aren't symmetrical the picture may look funny

@sinbad: Aye, I agree with you there. The eyes are fun 'caus they can bring a totally new expression to the picture ... but that only works if the rest of it fits in a way... x) @derm: Well, let's see. Unfortunately I got none on my laptop and my unicorn-sketches are all at home. But can maybe at least scan in some others I have. Let's see what I can do about that this weekend. Oh and, yeah, well not quite like Jacqueline ... she's using colours and paint ... mine are all black and white ... or rather grey
