Totally unrelated to the fandom (even though this does not mean you can´t post stuff related to it if you feel like it), this is the thread where you can share random pictures you like for the one or other reason. I like this one because it´s a happy wombat A cluster of galaxies... And this is just interesting.. in a weird way...

Hey guys, don't know if you're interested at all but since Sinbad started this part of the forum I'll show you what means a lot to me: This is my beloved Tia. She died last summer at the age of only 22 months due to cancer. It broke my heart when I had to take her to the vets and afterwards it took me weeks to get settled in every day life without her. And now, here's the new man in my life ;D : I know it's not the best photo ... but hey, you've got no idea just how hard it is to get a snow-white hamster photographed properly. If you use flashlight you see nothing than a white spot and if you don't the pic gets blurred. x)

Awwww, he's so cute. *gets shiny eyes* I love those little furballs!
And his name is Jack. When I had to take him to the vets some weeks ago the medical secretary started to grin and asked if this was "Jack Sparrow". I smiled and answered: "well, "Cap'n Jack" would be better. *g* But honestly, I didn't name him after that figure. I simply liked the name and thought it'd fit him quite well. By the way, how old is Pan?

Heh, yeah, it fits somehow. ;D I named mine after a figure in Philipp Pullman´s His Dark Materials trilogy. Pan, short for Pantalaimon, he´s basically the animal shaped soul of the protagonist He´s about 13 months old now. I got him pretty much a year ago.

Aw They´re so funny and cute. Try giving him a walnut... as in, a whole walnut. Mine goes totally bogus and hyper over those. Pretty much like that oddball squirrel in Ice Age ;D

;D When Jack got his first whole peanut (haven't given him whole walnuts so far but puts that on her to-do-list) he at first didn't know what to do with it at all. He sniffed, opened it and then ... began to try and eat the nut-shell. *rofl* He spit it out and afterwards tried to eat that brown skin that's arround the nut. *chuckles* I felt sympathie and showed him where the nut had fallen to. Oh dear, you can't imagine that happy little face when he finally had what he wanted. ;D
So, agree with you: they are soo funny! ;D

Oh, I wish she was. ;D But no, my boyfriend took the photo when we both went to "La Reserva" - a natural preserve in Mallorca. As a coincidence a falconer was training his birds just at the time we arrived there. And with Eva he came to us and meant "you want to take a photo?". Of course we wanted and so he sent Eva to wait for him at a nearby trunk and when he saw my boyfriend was ready for taking the pic he called her. And that's how the photo was taken. ;D But let's say I was the mental support.

Very pertyful bird I have a picture somewhere of me and this... what was it... a desert hawk or something like that... must´ve been roughly the same size as Dermott. I was expecting to lose an eye every second
