Funny you guys are talking about drawing 'cause I just finished the sketches I had to do for my art classes!
I really suck at it, but I have faith!
We're studying human anatomy so basically, everything I draw is related to the human body...*sighs in exhaustion* Hands and feet are a real pain in the ass...
I just finished the sketches of a face, using a grid for proportions and strangely, my portrait turned out to be a stunning replica of Rufus Sewell...man, he's got creepy eyes...

I find grids extremel helpful for drawing. If I don´t use one, I always draw faces to wide and too short and eyes too big. with grids it works rather fine. Do you have some to share, Maeve?

At least you guys have the basis. I'm totally self tought, and I usually draw in a cartooninstic style . I should search a tutorial for proportions. RuminaI like Rufus Sewel very very very much. Especially when he plays the villain ;D.

Sorry I don't have any of my drawings on my computer...yet.
@dermott: Aye. Is it me or he always plays the villain? Helen of Troy, The Legend of Zorro, The Illusionist, Tristan and Isold...
@sinbad: Wow, you're very talented! I love the Pippin and Aragorn ones! They're great!

Thank you. Well, when I have a look at mine I see big differencs. For example the Jack Sparrow one looks awful to me whereas the Anakin one is my personal favourite. Wow, I like the colours you use *re-watches*

RuminaNow that you make me think of it....it's true, also in "A knight's tale" and "The holiday" , in "Dangerous beauty" he wasn't that evil though @sinbad Thanks . And the Anakin one, is amazing, so expressive

I hate snow! And unfortunately for me, since I live in Canada, I have to deal with snow 6 months a year! Grrr... Now, I enjoy snow when I can play in it (you know...snow fights, angels, ice skating, ski...), but not when I have to walk half a mile in a blizzard to get to school because the d**n buses are stuck at the base of a hill... @dermott: Wow bro! Those drawings of yours are great! The Christine ones remind me of Jane Austen somehow...

Yeah. What annoys me about the weather here is that we have weird seasons lately. It´s supposed to be four seasons of course but it usually turns into two: Summer and Ewww. So basically from October to March / April weather is wet / cold / yuck. Little snow though. Heavy snowfalls now and then, but it usually doesn´t keep up for long. *looks out* Oh. Great. rain. Go ahead, wash away the snow, spares me the work.

Heh. I just noticed that mine and Maeve´s avatar match nicely. Not colour wise but composure wise. The smirk and all.

Aye, you're right!
And I love the fact that they look on opposite directions. That way, if you put them next to each other, they either ignore or smirk at each other!
