Posted. Sorry for the delay, that little bird didn’t seem in the mood to channel his part. So I went with the flow backing what Maeve already started. RuminaI don’t know if you are okay with how I’ve moved you and Derm near Majid and Kalani. If you had already in mind something different I’ll change my post, so that you can have your face-off with Badly the way you planned, before the crew arrives (I’m looking forward to read it). MajidCongratulation for becoming an official character. I didn’t doubted he couldn’t managed to be promoted. He is such a fascinating man. And I can’t wait to find out about what you are creating for the secret under his mystery. I’m sure a member of a desert tribe can have countless of reasons to be far away from home without having a tragic past. Maybe is on a mission? On a quest? :sit and waits patiently to find out: ;D ;D Basra is becoming so crowded and full of interesting inhabitants. It’s as if the city is developing a life on its own. KalaniAwesome post

Dermott looked at his sister, as he perceived her urgent need to put a quick end to an initially trivial dispute, which was starting to get out of hand. The Gods only knew where she was taking the force to stand up, and knowing her personality, she wasn’t going to give up on her tiredness until this mess would have been over. So, the only way to let her rest was to get rid of the drunkards.
While sensing those pressing emotions coming from her, she suddenly spoke on his mind:
“Are the others alright?”
He realized the side of the alley they were at the moment, hid the view from the buzz happening at its center, and the huge crowd who had gathered around them didn’t help on that matter. At that point Dermott, took flight instantly and in a wings' beat, he managed to perch on a long timber from where he could easily observe the whole pathway. It was the only remaining part of a once luxurious and furnished spice stand. The wooden planks of its stall were laying into pieces on the ground, together with its ripped curtain now covered with a colorful mix of pepper, cinnamon, ginger and many other rare and expensive powders.
The panoramic view in front of him was clear enough to see the extremities of the street where the two felons Maeve had knocked down minutes ago were mumbling on the ground semi-unconscious. At that point, he let her see with his own eyes , so that she could easily spot Caipra, safely pressed among a mass of curious citizens intent to watch the fight, which was taking place in the center of the alley, where the merchant woman and the man in black were still fighting.

@ Doubar Oh Well, I suppose Dermott looks calm on the outside, until someone doesn’t touch the things dear to his heart. ;D Thank you for pointing out that Bryn doesn’t know Kalani, I didn’t realized it myself, but seeing Caipra in the proximity of the havoc is also a good reason to come to the rescue ? Ah and do not worry my dear mate, I’m sure we’ll have an unforgettable breakfast after the reunion is over. We should give the two lovebirds some space on their own after all ;D ;D ;D

@kalhan Thanks a lot Kal :hugs: I’ve always had this in mind, so I’m also glad I’ve finally managed to post it. But it wasn’t a hard job, I’ve done it little by little since I first open the tread (procrastinating a lot). When Doubs talked about the Sinbad’s pack putting us in their affiliates, I realized It was ready since long, and I’d forgot to post it. Aww too bad the petitions didn’t work :raises the glass as well:  MalaThank you. In the lost-my-muse fic-section…WMM is you right? I thought the page was blank, but now I’ve found out if I select everything the content of your stories appears. :goes to bookmark them: @doubar eheh, I was just a silent reader in the old fandom myself. But when I discovered all those sites the show was already over, and many fans weren’t posting anymore. I wish I was there back then too. “16. You [if a boy] start wearing leather pants to improve your sword-fighting technique.” That one killed me ;D ;D And thank you so much dearest, I’m so glad you like it ^^

Long lost memories from the past. The sites below had been inactive for years, for the most part are now down, and we have recollected them in their cache versions. For this reason you may find that a lot of inner links are broken and the page would take a few minutes to redirect. Just wait a little bit.
AoS fans have often visited of those places at least once during the years. So for them, it would be like digging into a nostalgic journey to the past. And for newbies… even if they weren’t there at the time, it would be like having a glimpse of what the golden age of aos-fandom was like.THE SAVE SINBAD CAMPAIGN MESSAGE BOARDS OLD AOS FAN PAGES SEASON 1 SEASON 2 BOTH SEASONS SINBAD /ZEN GESNER MAEVE/JACQUELINE COLLEN BRYN/ MARIAH SHIRLEY FIROUZ RONGAR OTHER CAST MEMBERS

ehm, I've made Dermott call Bryn (and the crew) for help. I've let the bird make Bryn see only Caipra and Kalani. So the surprise effect about Maeve is safe. If you guys had already a different plan in mind tell me and I'll change my post CaipraThank you dear, your post give me a couple good of ideas to start, even if at the end I’ve written too much. alexI’ve tried to linking back to your last post where the crew is searching for Dermott. Same as above, If there is something not fitting in what I’ve written tell me and I’ll modify it @doubar The drawing is hilarious ;D ;D Kalani/Majid/Maeve I’m really really really enjoying your description of the fight. It’s insanely detailed. RuminaI’m starting to grew fond of Baldy (in a bad/good way), he gains more features whenever you guys write him in. I wouldn’t mind at all to see him come back in the Basra spin-off. Do you already have an actor in mind for him?

With his sharp senses stretched to the core, the hawk’s gaze was fixed on the bald men harassing his sister. He was ready to take flight and attack him, so to give Maeve the time to escape, but suddenly, people started to gather around the scene, and with Dermott’s helpless dismay, to press towards each other. With such a little range of open space to fly, it would have been difficult to aim at the drunk men and at the same time avoid to hurt innocent people by mistake.
His worries were interrupted by the arrival of a dark haired woman, somehow familiar, who had walked the street to place herself by Maeve’s side, followed by a tall man in black who shielded the two with his own body.
The relief of not having his sister facing this dangerous challenge by herself, let him loose enough anxiety to give a look around, and check if Caipra was okay. She left them before the arrival of the offenders, and he wondered if she was among the crowd. As soon as his attention was on her, the wise sorceress spoke to him mentally, and then he knew what to do.
In the blink of an eye he was up in the sky, right above the area when the quarrel was taking place, circling around the bunch of drunken men. Looking at the scene below, he took him very little to realize that the providential help his sister just received wouldn’t have been sufficient in the long run. Even if the tall man looked fierce and strong, the girls were not armed, and Maeve was still barely standing on her feet. The numbers were unbalanced, and Dermott was aware they needed more help. So he did the only thing in his power to be of assistance in this situation, starting to dig inwardly in search for that familiar presence he failed to perceive all day long.
And for the first time since the voices of nature had shut down, he finally found her. Her feelings of worry, and quizzical concern hit him with relief, as he realized she was awake. The last time he saw her, she was laying unconscious at the “Crown of Ogotay”, and he left to scout the city in order to find out more about what stroke her so hard.
“Bryn”
Whispered the hawk as their mental link slowly reconnected. It was a feeble sensation at the beginning, but it kept on growing stronger as they gradually restored their connection. And at that point, as they were used to do whenever one of the crew members was in danger, he send her a mental picture of the ongoing battle, sharing both images and sensations.
All of a sudden, a breeze of magic wind struck the thugs pouring sand into their eyes. While keeping on flying, Dermott moved his sight on a particular point in the middle of the crowd, where, with a inner giggle spotted Caipra looking at him with a knowing smile.
Right after, his attention was captured by the young brunette throwing fruits at one of the brutes, and then he had an straight away moment of recognition. It was Kalani, one of the most trusted merchants the Nomad was used to trade with. He would have identified her first if it hadn’t been for the commotion.
But he couldn’t finish his train of thoughts, as an abrupt mix of pain, distress and dizziness blew him like a dagger, cutting hastily his mental-bond with Bryn. They could still sense each other’s presence, but the shared vision was gone.
With dreaded anticipation the hawk shifted his focus towards the source of the soreness, already knowing with despair that Maeve’s condition was getting worse. She was stepping backward as one of the felons had advanced on her with a dead glare.
Without even thinking anymore about the people on the scene, the bird of prey nose-dived upon him with fierce rage. And while the drunkard desperately tried to shield his eyes with his bare hands, he peremptory spoke in Maeve’s mind “Move aside! Try to regain your strength”
He could still feel Bryn’s presence in the near surroundings. She was near, and able to find his position. She was approaching. And hopefully, she was not alone.

@kal Thanks a lot Kal, I’m glad you like it. It has been fun working on the list(I will post the rest soon), remembering all those old aos-pages. In any case the upcoming banners won’t be made by me, you’ll see soon :giggles:
@kal / Doubs I’ve recently rediscovered Jackie’s tread as well, it was so long ago. I can’t believe we have been here for three years… time flies

I’m enjoying a lot the way you girls are building up the fight. Everything looks detailed and realistic. I can’t wait for the next installments. Keep it on ladies. :goes to bring snacks and drinks, sits on a comfortable sofa and prepares herself to savor every bit of the reunion: Ps: just like the wise sorceress Derm can do more or less nothing in this situation, I’ll just write down a couple of lines right after Caipra makes her post.

Welcome on board to the new character. As the others already said I like how you manage to make her cheerful and propositive And since Caipra is an ironic person too, I'm looking forward to read about their interactions. I bet they will get along wonderfully. ;D
