If Maeve and Sinbad never met before Season I, and Sinbad fought Turok before Season I, but Maeve knows Turok, probably through Rumina when she destroyed Maeve's village, Dermott can talk about Turok from their encounters but he won't know anything about Sinbad's fight with Turok prior to Season I.

*thinks* Yeah, that sounds logical to me.

*feels stupid right now* So, even though the city has been on the news for YEARS with what´s going on in the middle east and even though it´s a location on here, yes, smart little me has only NOW drawn the conclusion that: *le gasp* Basra is THE Basra as in the city we see on TV and as in: THE CITY THAT DOES NOT HAVE A SEAPORT *whines* Anyone here who is a little more geographically informed than I am? We have a Basra port location, can we therefore assume that the city itself is a bit further inland but that they have sort of a port belonging to it? Or how do we deal with this flaw that my ignorance caused?

Probably it is on a river. Bagdad is nowhere near the sea, either, but has a port on the river (either the Tigris or Euphrates). The story does not have to be geographically correct. Stop analyzing. Yes, and space ships don't fall so Star Wars is all wrong.

Yeah, sometimes I pity it, too that some shows don't pay too much attention on geographical or historical correctness. But I love this show and I for one think it's okay to assume there's some port in Basra - just like there is in Baghdad.

Most large cities have some sort of port, otherwise how would they have managed to grow.

I'm going to have a chat with Bryn about Rumina (maybe about Turok too?). So, I was wondering about the first time Turok and Sinbad met. I mean, the caliph said he knew only a man who fought against Turok and won: Sinbad. This happened before the return of Sinbad to Baghdad. Guys, do you think we have to create a sort of basic-backstory about this past happening? Just as a reference. So if one of us want to use or talk about it, it will be the same for everybody. I had a doubt with the line you said about the Caliph and Sinbad/Turok so i search my aos episodes... and found the line you talking about ! He said : ''In all of my days i know only one man who could challenge Turok... a sailor... a great adventurer... Sinbad!'' I think Sinbad never met Turok before the first season. The Caliph only think he's the only one with the temper to do it... Don't you think?? I love these lines... Prince : This... This man you speak of... Caliph : Sinbad? P : Yes. Is he a young, [?] fellow, acrobatic type...? C : Yes! P: Big smilie ? C: Yes! P : Kind of an... insolent attitude ? C : He has a real lust for live if thats what you mean P : And he likes boat ? C : He's a sailor! Of course he likes boats ! Whats all this about? P: Well,... I think I know where this Sinbad is... C : Allah be praised ! Where is he ? P: He's in the courtyard... about to be beheaded... C: Beheaded !?!... LOL !!

Casib: Yeah. That’s where you start off with a head, then end up without one.
Caliph: You whining, ruck of royalty! My entire kingdom is threatened with extinction, and you plan to execute the only man that can save us?!
Casib: Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time.
Caliph: Bring him to me, immediately!
Casib: But Father—
Caliph: NOW!!!!!!!!!!!
(Casib runs out of the palace)
Well, I think Sinbad knows Turok. He talks of him as if he knew him.

@eleana
Mmm maybe you are right. I’ve always thought that they met, or at least crossed paths somewhere in the past. And that Sinbad was brave enough to challenge and face him. But they never reached a critical point.
It would be nice if we could develop this aspect later, as long as the game goes on. I mean, as soon as we’ll find our Turok.

I can play Turok if you want, but I am not sure want the captain thinks, because I already play Bryn besides Firouz. But Turok could be great for my evil, sarcastic mind.

I think two characters per player are enough for now. We still need some time to really get the ball rolling which will happen as soon as we have our baddies back. and then there will be tons to rp and I´m sure we´ll also find a Turok.

I was wondering... During season 2 the crew visited a lot of far away places, but not Bagdad, I think I remember they have been in Basra once, but I can't be sure. What do we do for the rpg? We assume that they have been there many times and the show simply didn't show it, or they didn't come back home at all? I mean, this sound strange, because if I remeber correctly Sinbad was the Caliph's ambassador... what do you think?
