Well, it's not a problem handing out old info....even if the enews and websites aren't on the internet any longer.
Second, there were arguments on set...Jacky didn't like what the producers wanted of Maeve...which, I believe wasn't Ed's plans at all. Second of all, to this, she wanted those extra weeks with her son. They couldn't get over that.
Then Rumi and Turok's actors wanted some more money, but the producers wouldn't pay for them...
And a whole lot of things....
*********************
Jacky and Zen weren't to comfortable about the kissing, as they were friends/siblings in real life and if I remember correctly, most of the problems were from the 'admins' vrs 'actors' not actors vrs actors.

From what I know, the atmosphere on set was not always nice. Jacky and Zen were good friends even after the show and still are in touch. He was invited for her wedding.
actors vrs actors, too

Isn't it part of the deal, though, when you embrace that career ? I mean, it's not like it was a nude scene or anything. Don't mean to be too crude but really I would kiss my own sisters if we were both actresses on the same set I wondered, what was the rating of this show ? The season 1 I saw in french was on a Family channel early in the evening so it must have been G rated. As for the second season they never had it in french. I don't think the rating of S-2 (darker, probably more violent and sexier) was ok for that channel. I wonder if it's the reason why I never got to see it in french back then.

It doesn't matter how do I know it and who I'm talking about. You are talking about so I told you what I know.

They weren't sure if another woman would be good. They didn't know how the dynamics would fit in. True that. It can either be really spectacular, like Cara and Kahlan from LotS (Cara=Maeve and Kahlan=Bryn), where opposites can create a great friendship, but otherwise it can really suck, and the writers make girls catty towards each other in vying for the leading man's affections (which I have seen a lot).

@thea: Indeed, when they make the "new" woman compete with the resident one, then this won't do the show any good. And well, if we're being honest, somehow that's just what happened in S2 of AoS because while there was no contact between Maeve and Bryn, the way in which S2 was produced gave the impression Bryn was there to replace the Celt in each and every aspect and thus she was sort of a competitor to her. So they kinda made the same mistake that other shows made which introduced a new female character and let that one vy for the leading man's affection like you said. No offense to all S/B fans, but I'm rather sure that a lot more poeple would have liked Bryn as a character had she really had her own unique role in the show (giving her none or a different love interest as well; or at least solve the issue with Maeve first). Fireland: Hum, for the rpg we settled on PG-13 meaning mild violence and mild adult themes as we felt this is what fits the series (mainly with regard to S2) best. Thanx to all the killing and the darker athmosphere I could well imagine that though indeed that's the reason why S2 never got broadcasted on the channel you mentioned. S1 was often said to be rather "Disney-ish" which is one thing the producers wanted to get rid of with S2 (why they thought that the audience would approve of the drastic change will forever remain a mystery to me).

That's why there are so many fanfictions which are associating both girls together, me thinks.

@kriss: Might be, yes. They're trying to solve where the show went wrong.

@kriss: Might be, yes. They're trying to solve where the show went wrong. Where the show went wrong and what the show missed, isn't it the main function of writing fanfics? ;D

Heh, well, I guess for most it's also the craving for new adventures that they want to still. But right indeed, catching up what the show/s missed is definitely one of the major point of fanfics.

hmmm,,, i searched for a thread for interviews for any of the cast but failed to find, may be it's just me who imagined it existed i wanted to post something i found -not sure if you know about already - but just in case, so sorry i know this thread is only for Ed but i found nowhere to post this, so please if somebody knows which suitable place tell me i'll re-post it there, this one is small interview with Zen back in 1998,,, hope it's new for most of you " SINBAD THE SOAPSTER Michael Logan
Zen Gesner who joined “All My Children” September 23 as Braden (a mysterious sexpot with no last name), shed no tears when his syndicated series “The Adventures of Sinbad” was axed last March due to the sudden pull-out of its primary investor.
“It was a blessing in disguise, “ insists Gesner. “Playing Sinbad was a blast. I rode horses and swung swords in a fantasy world for two years. But between the South Africa locations and the 16-hour days, I rarely saw my new son, Finn, for the first six months of his life. The AMC schedule allows me to be a real husband and father.” (His wife is lawyer Cindy Farrelly whose naughty-boy brothers, Peter and Bobby, are the creators of the hit film, “There’s Something About Mary.”)
On October 1, Gesner appears on “Friends” as the first guy to date Rachel after the cliff-hanger wedding of her ex-beau Ross. So how’s it go? “Let’s put it this way: By the end of the episode, my character is sent back to the dating pool. Ross is *still in the picture.” TVGuide/Michael Logan/October 1998" hope you like

I haven't read that one, but it isn't a surprise he was happy the show ended. I truly think he was facing the same agrument within a season if the show had continued what with Finn and all that Jacky had with her own son...

yeah Firouz,, agree with you in this,,, i mean at first i didn't think about but after find this little interview i imagined well that he could have the same problem Jacki faced then if you wanna my opinion, i see that these were really some restricted regulations the producers forced on the actors then,,,, why not giving them some free time to spend with their families/relatives or else may be a day off within the week or lower the 16 working hours a little bit,,,, i think that wouldn't damage the global work but it might give them some benefits with the actors got some refreshement and back to work they would be working even better, not to mention that they wouldn't encounter such troubles
