Okay, just to sort things in my head: final version is that Sean will leave the rpg (probably by becoming first mate of another ship), while Ziad stays, right?

My assumption is that Kriss keeps OldSean's bio. It would be pointless to change his bio if he is going to leave shortly.

Kriss, remember Sean is still a main character. So give him just as much voice as any other character here, and slowly let him "fade" away. If you need assistance, you can pm me, and I will give you my detailed plans for him. I can also help you give Sean a "voice."

That's what Mody sent to me

I was thinking a plot like this:

Sean had seen a girl who seemed to be interested in him. He was shy to go talk to her, but Sinbad friendlily pushed him to go. Sean finally took Sinbad's suggestion and followed the girl. After a while, the girl wanted to show Sean something and took Sean to her room. (This way, Sean would have not seen or hear about Bryn.)

Later Sean came out of the girls room, thanked her, and wished her goodbye. Sean then would come downstairs, happy and not knowing about Bryn.

Sean: Hey guys, how are you all?
Crew: Hey Sean! You have been gone awhile! *happily hug*
Sean: Yeah, I had the best night of my life. *suddenly frowns* Where's Bryn?
Doubar: She fainted. We all are waiting for word from Caipra.
Sean: Oh no, I hope it wasn't bad. Sorry I wasn't around to help you.
Doubar: Oh, nah, forget it. We didn't want to ruin your night.
Sean: *smiles*
Caipra: *comes down* Sean! You're back! *hugs him* We missed you.
Sean: Thanks. How's Bryn?
Caipra: She's.........resting. She'll be fine. *looks at the crew* There is no need to be worried. Everything is..........*sees Ziad* .......fine.
Ziad: *walks up to Caipra* Sorry to interrupt you, but may I speak with you?
Caipra: Certainly. *leaves with Ziad*
Doubar: I don't like the looks of this.

Caipra: *returns* Sorry to have left you. This is Ziad, chief of the guards in the western section of Basra.
*crew and Sean greet Ziad*
Ziad: It is a pleasure to meet you all. Sorry to make a quick leave, but I have duties to take care of. *hugs Caipra and leaves*
Doubar: What was that about?
Caipra: Aw, nothing.
*the friends chat at the table, then they all go to bed*

*the next day, they all come down for breakfast*
Sean: This is delicious! What is it?
Caipra: It is Kriss' most popular breakfast dish, fried eggs and fish sticks.
Sean: *nods and chows down*

*they finish breakfast*
Sean: Well, I'll say it again, that was really delicious!
Caipra: I'm sure Kriss would be proud.
*suddenly a captain of another vessel calls out*
Captain: My name is Captain Ibo. I currently have an opening for first mate. If anyone is interested, please step forward.
Sean: *looked at Captain Ibo then looked down, he wouldn't move*
Sinbad: Why don't you go check it out Sean? It's a great opportunity. And didn't you always wanted to be first mate?
Sean: *looked at Sinbad* Yes, but if I get the job, I will be leaving you all.
Sinbad: *places hand on Sean* We'll always be together, in here. *pats his chest, smirks* Go ahead. Find your future, old buddy.
Sean: *smiles at Sinbad and nods, gets up and walks to Captain Ibo, nods and shakes Ibo's hand* Hi, I'm Sean. I would like to accept your offer as first mate. *Sean and Ibo leave*

*the next day*
Sean: Hey guys! *comes running* Guess what! I passed the physicals!
Sinbad: *smiles* Way to go Sean.
Doubar: *hugs him* I am so happy for ya!
Sean: Doubar, can't breathe.
Doubar: *releases him* Oh, sorry.
Sean: That's alright, buddy. *pats Doubar, then grows quiet* Well.....I guess this means goodbye.
Sinbad: Sean, you can always visit us. And you will always be welcomed.
Sean: *gives Sinbad a big hug* Thank you, captain. You have taught me a lot. *hugs everybody again, but holds Sinbad's hand before leaving*


Okay, well, obviously it won't be exactly like this.
