About Sean

Okay, I thought we can discuss about Sean here. So options were:
- We all write in Sean.
- Nili takes over Sean.
- Kriss takes over Sean.
- I take over Sean (matter being discussed).

Sean should have a voice. He played a major role in the beginning, so he needs to still play a major roll. We can slowly let him play less of a role and die out. But there should not be a a sudden change between Sean playing major role and Sean playing minor role.

Here is my idea:
1) I delete Ziad and take over Sean. Actually I may delete Ziad, anyway. I can bring Ziad back into the game later after I am done with Sean, or we can completely forget about him. The only changes would be that the chat between Kriss and Ziad will close. There would be no chat between Caipra and Ziad. And Kriss and Kal are on their own again.

But wait, how about I just change Ziad into Sean? I actually prefer Sean's bio over Ziad's. And Sean and Kriss could fall in love, making Kriss and Kal would not be alone again. And Kriss could still have her arguments with Sean, meaning that part would not change. The only thing that would change is Caipra's chat with Ziad.

If Kriss still wants, I can keep Craig Parker as an avatar, although Craig Horner would be a better fit, in my opinion.

I favor this idea.


2) Someone, me or somebody else, temporary takes on Sean. I have Sarah kill Sean later on. Then case closed.


3) Sean got an offer to be the first mate of another vessel. Sinbad would grant him permission to leave. There would be warm hugs of goodbye.

This could also work well.



In all cases, Sean still and should play a major role until he leaves or is killed. Saying he became a lesser crew member or needed to take care of issues is NOT a good explanation. To me, that is like the producers saying "Oh, Jackie is not here anymore, so we make Maeve stay with DimDim." Honestly, I would have preferred they just killed Maeve, instead of using that pathetic explanation. DO NOT do the same to Sean.

Well, I am not sure if I like the whole creating a character first and deleting him after a few weeks just to play another - idea to be honest; characters should not be shifted around like that, it will just create chaos. But there are some good ideas in there nonetheless.

Letting Sean take over Ziad´s place could be an option, however, what you´d have to keep in mind there would be what we already started about Sean, namely, the whole I-have-a-problematic-past plot. It would be strange if that was completely dropped now, we need to deal with it in the one or other way. Sean running from the crew to deal with that and vanishing for a bit would be more logical in my opinion than to have him drop the matter alltogether.
So if there is a way around that which does not go into the direction of let´s just erase the old plot, then this could be a way to deal with it.

About someone else taking him over. Kriss asked for a bit of time to think about this and I would like to hear her opinion on the matter, too.

Yes, Kriss can always take over Sean. But she seemed unsure, so I thought I would take the burden off her. And I think I can easily adapt to Sean.

I am not going to change his bio. That is already set. It is just like Whisper taking over Bryn. I will not touch Sean's past and would therefore adapt to his mood.

I was thinking that he always was searching for something. And now he found it in Kriss. He can even go to Kriss and chat with her, just like Ziad did.

And for the third option, he always wanted to be a sailor, so upon hearing he can be first mate, he would gladly take the offer after talking with the crew.

That might work, yes.

One thing I am unsure about though is the fact that a lot of plotting and quite some wonderful ideas have been put into Ziad so far with the whole Bryn and her magic plot and someone having seen her doing magic on the streets. This would fit wonderfully with what we wrote so far and having you drop Ziad for Sean would render all of this useless and done because Sean can not take over that part of the role. Just my opinion of course.

Yeah, like I mentioned, that would be the only problem. In that case, I prefer option three: Sean becomes first mate of another vessel. That means Kriss or somebody would only have to write as him for a short while. We would still need to write when Sean had been doing. And I still think Sean should have a voice. Which goes back to me asking to temporarily play Sean. I have it all mapped out already.

I would prefer that option, Sean starting on another ship that is.
But I will stay with my no about the character limit, sorry buddy.
So it would either be me or Kriss to take him over.

You just can't bend a little. That is something you need to learn.

And the whole character thing is basically for permanent characters, like I am going to have three characters. This is not like that, so that rule is a little out of context. And you even said that the npc account was made to deal with minor characters. Sean is a minor character if you think about it. I have a plan for him. I thought it all out. So why are you standing in my way?

Talya said once that she want someone to take over Plunkett. I talked with her and we set we will wait for Rumina's and Eleana's opinion here and I could take him.
So, I don't know if taking Sean is good idea. I should wait for Talya.

You know you will be only playing Sean for a few days. He will be gone soon. Then you can pick another character.

@all: Well, the ideas that have been thrown in for Sean are all good if you ask me. And if Mody and Kriss would be okay with altering the story to a point where Kriss and Sean instead of Kriss and Ziad get together, there's always a way to do so I think.

And this would be:
For the time being Mody continues playing Ziad. He carries out the plot with Bryn ... and that's it. We wouldn't involve him anymore. He would be like Tetsu. The crew knows him, he's the leader of the guards, but doesn't have to show up anymore. The thread with Kriss you two, Kriss and Mody, would simply close down.
Now, while Mody still has Ziad, someone else (Nili or Kriss) could play Sean temporarily until Ziad's part is done and Mody can take over Sean as his second character.

OR we could declare Ziad to be a minor character (i.e. delete him has a full-fledged character) and use the npc for him. This way Mody could start off as Sean rather soon. Ziad would only have a few posts as the chief guard and that's it.

These are just suggestions as both versions by the way would also leave the possibility for Kriss to take over Plunkett if she wants.
