Very true that, about House I mean. I just got worse and worse as time progressed, which seemed a little odd to say the least. And the replacements of the original team... aye, they were weird, too. Not much fun to watch they were, imho. Aw, but as for the other couple you mentioned... I'm afraid I don't know them. I tried to google them, and say is that the ones you mean?

Yes, it is this tv series. I liked it almost similarly as The adventures of Sinbad many years ago, but i have much stronger bond towards The adventures of Sinbad. I like magic and fantasy, so similar tv series i like quite. (i do not count the tv series as xena or hercules, because there were created plots from the present life and similar things, which ruined the atmosphere of fantasy and magic). And the end was very sad and unresolved, the main hero lost his love and his best friend (the small man in the picture) but he promised that he will find them one day, he will be looking for them... and this was the end of the whole tv series.

Ow, it's always awful when a show you like ends on such a sad note. But I know what you mean with feeling a much stronger bond towards AoS. From all the series that I adore/d, my love for AoS has so far been the longest-lived (does that word even exist? xP)one. Loved it when I was a child, and love it still. And even when there are times when I'm not that active a fan, in the end I always get back to cherishing it.

manche: I guess most of the AoS fans are like that, eh? We all seem to have this in common - we watched the show way back when we were younger and we could never quite forget about it.

Which is great because we have the opportunity to talk about this tv series with the people who like it similarly as we.
When I had the big pause when i did not have the opportunity to watch it (between 6 or 7 years) i thought that this TV series was completely forgotten during the progress of time. It was great to find that are still some fans of this TV series. And during the progress of time i was able to find the whole first season in our dubbing, later all episodes from the second season which were aired in our country and now I am doing subtitles for the rest of the episodes. As you said, we could never quite forgot about it for this reason I want to have all episodes together.

Indeed. And it's been roughly the same for me. I had a rather large break from anything AoS in my late teenage years. Before that, I had watched the tapes every now and again (had recorded some S1 eps when they were on a re-run one or two years after the show ended, and kept those tapes sacred... ah the memories ^^), and had written several stories that till the present day I keep to myself. But since I had no one to keep the memory alive with, at some point other fandoms started to attract me more and finally I kinda didn't care as much anymore. Never thought there'd be any community anyway, and didn't know about fanfic.net then, or about fanvids for that matter. But in 2007 I suddenly got reminded of the show and I went to search YT for some clips, hoping someone might have uploaded an ep or two. What I found instead were the first fanvids and shortly after I also came across ff.net and that's when my love for the show was rekindled. Eventually, Nili mentioned her idea of starting this board and voilà , here we are. ;D We both didn't know how many people we'd ever be, and till the present day I am astounded at how many fans there still are out there. Seems we are by far not the only ones who never truly forgot, and that's quite an amazing thing to know I think.

I'm prolly a bit odd in that I tend to cling to things feverishly. AoS since I was like 15, Firefly for the last 10 years, and recently got all nostalgic about a cartoon that I used to watch when I was only maybe 5 or 6.

Nha, you're not odd there at all. I'm just the same. Once I really, really love a show or movie or whatever it will usually remain in my favourites for a very long time. Still cling to AoS and my all-time favourite movie is one I watched when I was ten. And you can be sure I tune in when they do re-runs of old shows that I loved to watch.

Agreed; I new there was a large fan base way back when, but it seemed to dwindle and loose fire when the fans lost the battle to get the movie made which would have wrapped things up quite nicely.
It was awesome to find this RPG to rekindle the wonder AOS in-stilled in my as a kid.

Aw, right, the petition... did they ever get enough people to sign that anyway? I wasn't around when the fans fought for a movie to be made, only stumbled across it quite some years after, when the old fandom was as good as dead already.

I'm glad the Browncoats were able to get Universal to make Serenity. At least we got some form of an ending.

The petition wasn't powerful enough. The producers dropped the show as it wasn't making the ratings like Xena or Hercules were. Tim tried to go foreward with it, and the others were willing to too, but it wasn't enough.
