maeve3000: She did? alex: Aye, there's something about Jacqueline in that ep that's different from the rest. But, if you ask me, Sinbad's the same. Both seem ... uh, don't know ... grown up in a way, or thoughtful or whatever. In some way I always had the feeling that they were more at ease with and closer to each other than every before (just think of the almost kiss, the hug, his promise ...). The whole ep is different from the rest - in a really nice and charming way. Oh, and ... *shifty eyes* I for one think that neither before nor after that ep did Sinbad look better than here. ;D

maeve3000: really how did u know ? and in which scenes ?? @doubar : Aye:D i noticed that in sinbad too while i am re watching the episode today but it was maeve who captured my attention in the first place and yeah she seemed really more romantic specially when she was talking to sinbad around the griffon egg place ;D i like the whole episode of course but i hated firouze when he interrupted the kiss ...why they did not repeat it again ?? and about the promise .. i do not know why ..but when i watched the episode the first time - before the second season has been aired - i got the feeling that this promise was almost a goodbye to maeve and after knowing about the sec season the feeling has been confirmed

alex: ;D Aye, but having Firouz interrupt them was funny. ;D And, *nods in agreement* aye, the end seems like a good bye somehow. It already carries a certain sadness that, when knowing what was going to happen, seems like deep down inside they knew ... .

alex: ;D Aye, but having Firouz interrupt them was funny. ;D .. . @doubar : funny on what way was that funny ?? oh may be it will if the episode it self was in lighter and more joyful mood . but firouze is really funny himself with his way in actan blabbing actually there are two people i like to keep track on whatever they do ( maeve and firouze )

alex: Hum, maybe I find it kinda funny 'caus everytime I watch the scene I can't help but remember various fics that refer to Firouz as the one who's always interrupting the two. ;D But right, guess back then and when not thinking of that fact it wasn't all that funny... but rather sweet. Honestly, I didn't mind that they didn't kiss, it was the gesture that counts. And that one said it all.

@doubar : yeah i see what u meant now me too read a lot of fics where the two of them were about to have some romantic moment but the only great interrupter was always firouze then it seemed really funny oh and i also liked the scenes where rumina was walking back and forth hoping for scratch to vanish but he told her that he is here and he is real and he is not going to any where

When I first saw the episode, I saw Sinbad and Maeve as more mature in their interactions with each other. Like when Sinbad was wondering why RUmina was more dangerous in her attacks to the isle and Maeve reminded him that it had been one year (to the day) since he had beheaded Turok.
She was so....sweet and understanding when she said it especially when he looked so horrified that this had occured because of an action he took a year ago.
It seemed that their relationship had gotten so close, that Maeve nearly told Sinbad her secret about Dermott, not really thinking about it, till she almost said it and then she stopped herself.
And the almost-kiss was sweet because it showed just how, between the twoof them, how their emotions were developing into something more as they BOTH leaned into that kiss.
Also, the end hug, it was full of all sorts of emotions that it is hard to single out just one.

@firouze : u described what i exactly felt sinbad,s facial expression was telling what his heart feels without saying a word but i always was wondering why sinbad was not able to figure out the relationship between Dermot and maeve or at least guess about the transformation thing when she told him "look at Dermot " if he asked himself why she referred to Dermot specialty of course he will get it all this moments where she intimated to the hawk,s curse how on earth he could not get it ? this always drives me crazy and makes me wonder about what kind of brain sinbad really has

Well, that more than anything, was Ed's attempt in keeping Dermott's sceret until a season 2 (Maeve still there mind you) episode in which Maeve was cursed by a demon and Sinbad had to go into her mind, her dreams, her past to find her. Therefore bring them closer together as friends/something more...
Sinbad, probable, as a chracter/man, knew there was a deep connection. There just wasn't any other conclusion for him to arrive at. He is a smart man despite not truly understanding the science of Firouz (me!) ;D
Also, I think Sinbad did know something, but as was his character's way in s1, he held himself back from pushing and simply believed that Maeve would tell him when she was ready too.
((And by the lines of Maeve herself in VoR, she was actually really close to revealing it thereby proving how close they truly were))

Oh, Sinbad has a very small brain. ;D *chuckles* ;D Oh, and the kiss, well it really was not the time for that. I always rolled my eyes when someone was playing around when they shouldn't be or kissing where they shouldn't be, and just wanted to say, "Ok, breakup you two" or "stop acting like children." ;D

@firouze : Aye i know about the dream thing and i really liked the idea and longed for seeing it it is supposed to be so perfect for making them closer and i already read a fan fiction called "nightmares " by Dita inspired by this epic idea and it is really amazing with a lot of depth and psycho u can feel maeve,s pain and long for hugging her as a child and as an adult to just comfort her and wipe the sorrow from her pretty face Dita promised to continue the story in Christmas and i hope so here it is www.fanfiction.net/s/3792706/1/Nightmaresi know it is not the place of fan fics but i hated the idea that this pretty idea planned to be with Bryn in the third season @sinbad : totally agreed But they some times say that in the time of crisis , true emotions grow and reveal He may think that in this confrontation may be one of them will get killed so why not show up some real feelings toward her and also to reassure both of them
