When Rongar suddenly tilted his head, Doubar looked up to follow the moor's gaze. Caipra was just exiting what appeared to be a storage room - and left the guard and surprisingly enough the tavern owner behind. Both person's bodies were slightly tensed he noticed and telling from what little the first mate could see of the guard's face, they obviously weren't all too happy to meet. For a moment Doubar felt his eyebrows rise at that scene - especially as he, too, noticed the slight glimmer in Caipra's eyes that he knew he had seen before. But the big man knew better than to ponder about a strangers' business when he wasn't concerned and so he directed his sight to lie on the wise sorceress again who by now had almost reached the table.

Caipra saw all eyes turning toward her, once more. She was looking for something to say because, of course she wasn't going to tell them the truth. Knowing Sinbad and his crew, they would absolutely want to intervene, which was not the best solution right now. When she almost reached them, she noticed that Sean was here, and it was only at this moment that she realized that he was not here when she had come back from Bryn's bedroom earlier. She smiled at him and then looked at the others saying. "I'm sorry, it was a little longer than I thought. But you shouldn't have wait for me, you know. It's very late, you surely need some rest, as I do, in fact." She looked at Sinbad and added. "I'll come back tomorrow to see how Bryn feels."

Sinbad gave her a short, testing look, wondering whether she was telling them everything. Something told him that she wasn´t and he took a mental note to ask her about it ... in the morning. He could feel his exhaustion wearing down on him by now even though he tried not to show it and part of him had to frankly admit that he was looking forward to a good night´s sleep. He hoped he would get it this time.
Therefore he glanced at his friends, then nodded. "It´s late." he said. "I think we all earned a decent night´s sleep."

Firouz looked up at Caipra eagerly.
He wanted to know what was going on.
Her words caused him to blink.
He should have known.
But, both Sinbad and Caipra were right, it was late...
He stood up and offered, "Do you want an escort Lady Caipra?"
Rongar stood up as well and bowed his head in agreement.

Caipra felt glad that Sinbad didn't ask her more questions. But she knew that he wasn't going to let it go so easily. When Firouz proposed to escort her home, she looked at him and smiled. "Oh no! I don't want to disturb you more tonight. I'll see if Ziad can accompany me until..." While she was talking, she turned back just in time to see Ziad leaving the tavern, not really in a good mood. "Or maybe not. I think I'm going to go home alone" she added, rolling her eyes. "But don't worry, I do that often, I know the places to avoid. Well, I wish you a good night gentlemen."
The wise sorceress bowed her head slightly and left the crew. She quickly casted a glance at Kriss who was sitting next the bar, not in a better mood than Ziad. She didn't know what the two of them have been talking about but Caipra guessed that it wasn't the only thing that put Kriss in this state. A lot of weird things happened here today and the old woman was responsible for it. She knew she would owe her explanations soon, too.
She gave Kriss a little sign of her hand, smiling, and then left the tavern before the archer could stop her.

Rongar and Firouz looked at one another in apprehension, but what could they do.
Caipra was well and able to take care of herself.
Firouz bowed out and said, "If you're sure Caipra, have a nice evening."
Rongar placed his hand on his heart and tilted his head to her in respect.

Doubar, as well as his friends, nodded to the wise sorceress and sent her a quiet good bye as she left. His insticts, too, had told him to offer her to accompany her on her walk, but not only had Firouz been faster than him, but also had he already suspected her to turn that offer down and somewhere deep inside he felt himself smile at it. There were only few poeple on earth he really esteemed, but DimDim's wife definitely was one of them. Though seeming reserved and quiet sometimes, he knew that she held much wisdom and power. Yes, she knew how to get safely through this world - and the city which was her home. For a short while then he watched the sorceress go, pondering shortly about what might have really gone on between her and that strange guard. The first mate wasn't all too fond of being left in the dark, but eventually he came to the conclusion that Caipra would for sure tell them if the crew were in trouble. So, after staying silent for yet another moment, Doubar allowed himself to stretch his arms and take on his brother's words: "Indeed, little brother", he said, remembering well what Bryn had told him this morning about Sinbad and his obviously short night but not letting on about it and stiffling a yawn instead before he added: "I take it our rooms are upstairs?"

Sean watched Caipra's leaving in silent. He had just given her a polite bow for 'goodbye'. He did not ask any questions. The crew's things were not his anymore and that's what he wanted to tell his captain about. Maybe it was not a good momnet but he could not find better later. It would be also rather odd to not say anything. So while the rest seemed to leave to their rooms soon, he asked Sinbad, "Captain, can we talk for a while before I leave?"

Firouz looked to Sinbad and asked for the life of him he couldn't remember what with everything that had recently happened with Bryn, which was unlike him, but then again he had never experienced Bryn in a situation like this before, "Are we bunking two on two? Or do we have separate rooms?"
He had no problems bunking down with Rongar, he was a silent sleeper yet a light one, and he knew Rongar had no problems with him either.
Rongar stepped closer to his scientific friend and patted his shoulder in silent agreement to what hadn't been said.

"The rooms are upstairs." Sinbad said. "and we have a bed for everyone, but just two rooms." He didn´t mind how his friends shared the rooms, he´d just see which bed would remain empty in the end, because it seemed Sean wanted a word with him.
There was something about it that struck him as strange. Sean had not been with the crew for that long, not long enough for the captain to feel as close to him as for example Firouz, Rongar or of course his brother, but still he cared about the other man, being his captain after all even though Sean was a few years his senior. He gave the man a nod. "Of course." he said, getting up. SOmething about Sean´s choice of words was strange, but he decided to wait with his questions until they were alone. For now he guessed that with "leave" Sean meant that he wanted to set off to what he had told him on the Nomad earlier that day. And he took a mental note to tell the man that it was a bad idea to pursue such personal family affairs at night. There was always time until the next morning and after all he, SInbad had promised his help with it, if Sean so wished.
He paid the tavern´s over, giving a little more than necessary and stepped out into the chilly night breeze, waiting for Sean to join him.

Sean had waited for his captain till he paid and then he followed him outside. The night was quite cold but it fostered this kind of conversation. The young sailor came clsoer to Sinbad and started, "I won't take you too much time." Indeed he had no many things to say. "The old friends which I met today offered me to join their crew." Sean said the concrets. He did not want to temporize.

Rongar watched as Sean and Sinbad left the tavern to talk.
He waved his hand in front of Firouz and Doubar to go ahead of him up the stairs.
Firouz patted Rongar on the shoulder and said, "We'll take one room and you and SInbad can have the other, okay Doubar?"

"Sure, no problem", the first mate answered to his friend with a good-natured smile. Sinbad and he usually shared a room anyway when they split up so he had no objection against it. Casting a last look towards the door then through which his younger brother and Sean had just exited, he wondered briefly what issue it was that had to be discussed at this time in the night, but eventually he shrugged it off - as he had done with so many things this evening. "What a crazy day", he then mumbled quietly while turning around to finally go upstairs and get a good night's sleep.

The other man´s words came as a surprise. Of course Sinbad had noticed that Sean had been restless, fidgety even, but he had passed it as something that was typical of the other man´s nature. They had had that conversation on deck the other night in which Sean had told him about his past and he had mentioned friends earlier and now this. it came kind of out of the blue, even though he would not be the first sailor to change a crew quickly. He briefly wondered whether the reason lay with him, but couldn´t find a reason. His eyebrow rose slightly, indicating surprise.
"You want to leave us?" he asked, making sure he had understood Sean correctly.

Sinbad seemed to be very surprised but that reaction was reather obvious. The proprosition from his olds friends was very abrupt and really unexpected even for Sean. On the other hand this propsition was rather attractive for him. He wanted to explained himslef. "They offered me the position of a first mate..." It was a big promotion for such a simple sailor like Sean. Everyone being him would take that job. "...and I agreed."
