Ziad smiled at Caipra. He looked at all the sailors and nodded to them. He then bent down to whisper in Caipra's ear. "Can I talk with you for a minute alone?"

Caipra felt a little surprised to see that Ziad didn't answer her like he used to...with a little point of humour. When he asked her to talk to her in private, she lost her smile. There was only one subject that needed to be talked in private...magic. So, she was right about the reason of his visit. Ziad was one of the few persons to know that Caipra was a sorceress. He always kept her secret since the day she healed him thanks to her ability. And the wise lady knew she could trust him. She looked in Ziad's eyes, to show that she understood and said to the crew. "Would you excuse me a moment?... I won't be long." She said before getting up to follow the guard.

Ziad smiled and again glanced at the crew. He then helped Caipra out of her chair and let her lead the way. "After you," he said politely.

The captain had followed the two of them, his old friend and the stranger with his eyes while they had their short exchange and then left the table. He had been trying to sort the man in, without success so far. "Does anyone know him?" he asked, his voice low and directed at his friends who were still around the table with him. He usually had a rather good memory when it came to faces. This fellow, even though he reckoned the stranger was a few years his senior, had to be a rather recent addition to the palace guard.

In response to Sinbad's question, Doubar only shook his head slightly. "Have never seen him before", he then added rather silently while casting another glance at the guard who was now leading the way of the wise woman. The sailor's pale blue eyes followed the two for a moment, before he directed them back at his friends and let a frown form on his face.

Firouz added in support to Doubar's words, "Agreed Doubar, I have no memory of this guard. His clothing seems to indicate a high rank, though."
Rongar patted his upper arm and then made a sign, he had long ago named as the Omar's, and then made his fingers burst out from his palms in a tiny circular motion, and waited to see if any of the other's agreed with him.
Firouz blinked for a minute before he understood just what it was te Rongar was saying, "Yes, I think you're right Rongar, maybe he's one of Omar's new..."
He ended in a soft whisper, "...new magical gaurds?"

Doubar watched Rongar sign what he wanted to say and he heard Firouz voice it out with a soft whisper. And he came to the conlusion that what their mute friend assumed could easily enough be true - which in fact didn't really appease the first mate. "That could mean we're trouble then", he finally mused with a low voice while his brows furrowed slightly.

Sean went in the room, walked over to the table and surprised everyonen with his arrival. "Hey guys. Sorry I left. Had to use the restroom. And you can't believe what happened next. As I came out of the restroom, I bumped into two of my old friends. We chatted a little. I wanted to introduce them to you, but they had to leave." He then looked at each member with a smile but frowned after he didn't find two people he was expecting to find. "Hey, where's Caipra and Bryn?

Rongar looked up at Sean with a serious but still welcoming frown.
Firouz waved him down to sit and said, "Closer Sean, we don't want to cause a scene."

Involuntarily Doubar winced a little when suddenly Sean's voice came from behind him. The first mate tilted his head into his comrade's direction and looked at him bluntly. He had really forgotten about the younger sailor. In all this hazard with Bryn he had not noticed that Sean wasn't around anymore. Now however he had returned to his friends, asking a seemingly innocent question and smiling at them. While Firouz motioned for the blonde man to come closer and sit down, Doubar turned his head back to his friends and waited for Sean to do as was suggested by the scientist.

Only when Sean returned it seemed to SInbad that he fully noticed that the sailor had been gone. He was almost sure that the young man had excused himself earlier on but he couldn´t tell with certainty now since more pressing matters were at hand for the moment.
He waited for Sean to sit then talked in a low voice, low enough for the others at the table to understand but not loug enough to allow the possibility of eavesdropping. "There was something going on with her and she became unconscious. She seems to be all right now, Caipra has been looking after her." He glanced sidewards to scan the tavern quickly. "As for now we should just keep an open eye on things around us, old friends included." It wasn´t meant as a reproach, just as a warning. He didn´t know who Sean had been chatting to a while earlier and there was no problem with that anyways, but it could become one with people like this guard from earlier sneeking around. He didn´t have a good feeling concerning this one.

Sean qucikly followed Firouz's suggestion. He sat down at the first free seats next to him, looking around at his friend's faces. Sinbad's answer made him a little worried about Bryn. "I hope everything's fine?" He aslo understood captain's allusion very well. He knew that he did not belong to ordinay crew and knew that the best thing was keeping this knowledge just for himself.

Sinbad gave a short nod. "For now," he said, keeping half an eye on the room around them as he usually did when he didn´t feel quite at ease. "I think all we can do now is to be on guard a little more than usual." It sounded easier than it was, because as much as he hated to admit it (and he wouldn´t), his lack of sleep was starting to get to him. He hadn´t slept a full night properly ever since their encounter with Scratch and would have given quite a bit to be able to catch up with it. But it looked like these plans were cancelled.

Firouz glanced curiously at Caipra and her visitor and pondered, "I wonder what they are talking about?"
Rongar pointed upstairs with a slightly fearful gleam in his eyes.
Firouz nodded and said seriously, "That could be problematic if youare right my friend...."

The door Caipra and her visitor had gone through suddenly burst open.
Kriss, the owner, was stunned by who was there. He could tell thanks to her body language.
He grinned slightly as Caipra edged her way out with twinkling eyes, and tilted his head, to alert the others, in her direction.
His gaze met Sinbad's meaningfully: Caipra had returned.
