Aw, come on, Bryn. No one knows that. Some believe it was a falling star, others think it might have been a special constellation between Jupiter and Saturn, but none knows for sure.

Well, the latest news I heard that it was caused by the planets Venus and Jupiter lining up and thus overlapping. newsinfo.iu.edu/OCM/packages/bethstar.html images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.smh.com.au/ffximage/2007/12/15/gr_jupiter_wideweb__470x290,0.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/jupiter-aligns-with-venus-and-the-star-of-bethlehem-is-born/2007/12/15/1197568325853.html&usg=__Xl2UjDD_hURn3JVyCppz1NVJQtw=&h=290&w=470&sz=44&hl=en&start=2&sig2=I9dTknOJ6h8m1Ce3JpdBzA&um=1&tbnid=VaYUKtnpEbyI2M:&tbnh=80&tbnw=129&prev=/images%3Fq%3DStar%2Bof%2BBethlehem%2Bvenus%2Bjupiter%26hl%3Den%26rlz%3D1G1GGLQ_ENUS328%26sa%3DN%26um%3D1&ei=hPCuSt31LpXVlAei2sT2DQ Actually, it happened again when I was in 8th grade. It won't happen again in another 2000 years. Too bad I forgot to look for it. But my Dad saw it, and wondered what that very bright object was.

Yes, but notice that the copyright is 1995. ;D We have learned a lot since then, and thus, it might be outdated. ;D But technically there is little right and wrong answers in science. It is just a theory, an explanation of why something occurred. While a law is just an observation.
