Caipra was about to answer to Ziad when Kriss walked downstairs. The archer was looking beautiful in that dress, new dress, she could tell. The old lady had never seen her like that. She looked different. For the first time, Caipra was able to see the beautiful lady hidden behind the mask of a tavern's owner. Another side of Kriss de Valnor was standing just in front of them.
The old lady noticed that the look of Kriss hadn't leave Ziad indifferent. He simply couldn't look away from her as she was coming closer. But the tavern's owner, loyal to herself, didn't pay so much attention to him and gave him a short answer. As for her, Caipra was expecting Kriss's reaction, that's why she simply smiled and answered. "Don't worry, I won't bother you for long." She said, looking at both Ziad and Kriss. "I think I forgot my silk scarf here after the lunch. And as I was not far from the tavern, I thought I could come here quickly to pick it up. Have you seen it?"

Everyone is very nice with me these days. Thank you soo much Doubar for that new banner for Caipra! I truly love it! PS: As I was saying to Doubar, When I see Sister Verna in LOTS (for those who know her) I think she could make a good Caipra, don't you think? ;D ;D ;D Here's some pics of her. ivanolix.livejournal.com/200227.html

I'm thinking the same about Dermott. We mostly need someone to play him during his reunion with his sister... Then, Daisy and I had some plot for a chat between the hawk and the old sorceress but that of course can't be possible without someone taking over him... I'm not saying that this convo was very important and of course, we could do without it, but I liked the idea. PS: Posted. ;D

The glance between the two sorceresses was so intense that none of them dared to move, or even to speak. Caipra didn't even know what to think. She couldn't beleive what she was seeing. In centuries, all the people that had disappeared in the hidden realm never came back...until today. Something happened. The veil had been broken, and the Protectors couldn't do anything about it. And now Maeve was standing in front of her. She was not a spirit, for sure, as Ziad and the others were able to see her. No, she was real, and she was back, safe.
It seemed like ages had passed before Ziad's voice broke the silence. Caipra answered him, still watching the redhead, afraid that she could vanish again in an instant, if she looked away "Yes I do." She said. And then, finally, a wide smile appeared on her face. "It's Maeve." she added before approaching the young sorceress.

Caipra turned in the street leading to the tavern just in time to see Ziad getting in. The old lady had forgotten her silk scarf at Kriss's place after the lunch, that's why she came back here before going home. But she thought that she would have been here before the chief's guard. Now, the Archer would surely think she had made it on purpose. Caipra smiled, amused by the situation, and entered the tavern only one minute after Ziad. She was standing behind the guard when she said, in an innocent tone. "Oh, good evening Ziad. It's been a while since the last time I've seen you here." In fact, Caipra hadn't seen him much here since her friend Sinbad and his crew had left Basra, a few weeks ago.

Caipra was home since a few hours already, but even if she felt very tired, she couldn't sleep. She was thinking about all that happened today. The visit of Sinbad and his crew, Maeve's disappearance, and Bryn's return. The young girl didn't seem to remember anything about her past or about her family. She wasn't even aware about her powers. And that's what had caused all the events that happened later on the day.
Ziad helped her so much that night, she had been lucky that he was working that night, otherwise things would have been much more difficult to settle.
Now, everything was fine...well, Caipra would be sure of that only when those guys would wake up after the spell she had casted on them. That spell which had weakened her more that it should had. And here she was now, recovering from all this. The new day was already beginning. Caipra was looking at the window, waiting for the sunrise, when suddenly, a knock on the door broke the silence. Surprised, she went toward the door and opened it. A young man was standing in front of her, breathless. He started to say something but he was so breathless, probably because he had run to come here, that only a few words came out of his mouth. "guard...come...the lady..." "Calm down" Caipra answered, "It's alright, just breathe." The boy listened to her and controled his breath. "Fine. Now, tell me what's going on." Caipra asked. "The chief's guard asked me to come to you as fast as possible. He wants to see you. There is a strange lady with him...very strange." The young guard finally said. When Caipra understood that he was talking about Ziad she automatically thought that something went wrong. But if he was with a young girl, then it would probably not be a problem related to what happened in the night. The old lady was confused. She wondered what was going on, this time. She grabbed a coat and some of her stuff just in case, and said "Let's go." before following the boy.
As she was getting closer to the guard's place, the sun was rising in the sky, sign of a beautiful day to come. But Caipra had no idea what was waiting for her, today. When they arrived, the young boy opened the door and let the old lady getting in first. She first saw Ziad, then took a look around, noticing that the guys were still sleeping, until she saw her...
Maeve.
For a moment, everything stopped.

The three women finished eating without saying anything. After a moment Caipra finally said. "Thank you for the lunch Kriss, it was lovely as usual. I hope you will never leave your cook go away." She smiled and stood up. "I'll see you tomorrow I think, I want to know how that dinner went." She gave a wink to Kahlan before leaving the two young ladies and walking out of the tavern.

"Me?" Caipra answered "Well, I didn't think about it yet. But I still have a lot of people to see this afternoon, so I'll probably stay at home and get some rest. I'm not anymore as young as you girls." She added with a wink.

Caipra smiled at Kriss's answer and said. "Fine. I wouldn't have said better myself". The old sorceress knew the Archer enough well to know when it was time to stop talking about something, for a while at least.
She looked at Kahlan who was quiet for a while and asked her. "What about you, dear. Any plans for this evening?"

Caipra turned her head to face Kriss She perfectly remembered that day, when she and Ziad had to go to the storage room to have a private talk about a magic matter. It was before the tavern's owner discovered everything about Caipra's abilities. The old lady also remembered Kriss's anger when she had discovered them in that room...
She sighed and answered with the same tone than the Archer. "Well, if you remove some boxes for a while and if you clean the room, I'm sure we could succeed in giving it a quite romantic atmoshpere. But well, if you can find a place better than...the storage room, then please, tell us."
Caipra was joking with Kriss but it was her tavern and her dinner after all, the young lady could decide what she wanted to do herself.
