Aww, thank you. Well, I like to see Caipra as someone who knows lots of people in Basra, as she's been living there for years, even if she doesn't talk to everyone. But I think Majid has this particular look that is not easy to forget. I hope my post will help Dermott to find inspiration for her own post to come.

Although it took me ages to find something to say among all those amazing posts, I finally managed to post something as Caipra. I hope it's okay for everyone. Of course, you can make the gust of wind appear whenever you want, that's why I didn't give a precise moment, in case you had something else planned before.

Even if she knew Maeve's strenght, Caipra wasn't sure that the young sorceress could take care of those men by herself, unarmed, above all.
The old sorceress couldn't hide her surprise when a young lady appeared, next to Maeve, quickly followed by a tall man she recognize to be a merchant of the city. Without knowing them, neither knowing why they were helping the red-head, Caipra felt glad to see them here. Three against those ruffians would be a fairest fight. Because the fight was now inevitable.
Caipra was already seeing Ziad getting angry against them, for causing troubles once again in his city. Another subject she would have to deal with later on, if he ever hear about it.
For now she focused on the fight happening in front of her. Staying immobile when friends needed help was not part of her habits. She was looking for some weakness on the baddies that she could exploit, when an idea came in her mind.
She mentally called Dermott, who was still on the bench on the other side of the alleyway, and she asked him to fly in circle above the market place. Then, using her powers, she started a small gust of wind, blowing sand toward the ruffians's eyes, to distract them.
Now she hoped she would have earned enough time for Sinbad and his friends to notice Dermott in the sky and to head to where he stood.
If Maeve and Caipra couldn't join the crew, then maybe the crew could join the witches.

Caipra was silently laughing. She could only imagine Maeve's reaction as she was walking away from her.
The old sorceress just realized at this moment how happy she was. Despite the tiredness, after all the recents events, she was glad to see all her friends in the same place, after so long. Her life in Basra was quiet, she knew a lot of people thanks to her work, and had found in Kriss a wonderful friend. But the link she had with the Nomad's crew was stronger than anything else, even if she didn't see them often. And nothing had been easy for any of them, since DimDim had disappeared, followed by Maeve a year after. But now things would change again. Caipra's husband might not be back, but Maeve's return was the sign of a new hope. So, yes, Caipra was happy, and things would get better in a moment...she hoped.
Getting out from her thoughts, she slowed down and turned around to see if Maeve was following her. Her smile completely disappeared when she saw the scene in front of her. A bunch of guys were facing Maeve, creating a wall between the two women. The old sorceress understood that their intentions towards the red-headed were not gentle. This was not good, really not good. And there was nothing Caipra could do, first because she was too far from them, and then because without her powers, she's a simply old healer.
The tavern was not far, but she wouldn't have time to warn the crew.
Seeing no other option, she held her breath and waited...ready to act...if it was needed.

Caipra laughed, still looking at Maeve. She knew that the red-headed always liked to have the last word. Unfortunately for her, so did the old sorceress.
She dropped her hand and gave a smirk before saying. "Well, you DO have the choice. After all, you're free to stay here if you want. But I'm going to the tavern anyway, because I'm starving." She turned around, and looked back just to add. "I'll say hello to everyone from you." Then Caipra slowly moved away from Maeve, not without hiding her amusement.

Caipra was listening to the conversation without being able to say anything. She has felt Dermott's helpless look on her several times, but Maeve didn't give her time to react. Even when she had looked at her after learning the crew was in port, her attention had been quickly diverted by the mention of Bryn's name.
Everything was going too fast. Yes, she hadn't talked to Maeve about the crew because didn't want to rush things, she said to herself. There was a lot to catch up for the young sorceress and Caipra was trying to handle her carefully. Of course, it was without counting on the cleverness of the red head. Her reaction to Bryn's name surprised her, though, and the same question than Dermott's one crossed her mind.
For a moment she wondered what Maeve had seen from the realm. How much did she know about the last year? Dim-Dim might have never knew how to escape the Realm, but, for sure, he had found a way to break it in some parts, to create like a window connected to the real world, just like he did once to contact her or the crew.
Maeve answered by a completely different explanation, but even it it was rational, she seemed to be hiding something else. Another mystery Caipra would try to find out later. For now, it was time to calm things down and to give some explanations.
“You’re thinking too much, my dear. No, I didn’t tell you that crew was in Basra, but would you have allowed me to lead you to them if you had known it?”
she marked a break before adding with a smile. “Just go to them. You NEED it. Forget about the rest. As you brother said, you’ll have all the time in the world to talk. For now you need to go back to your family.”
One thing Caipra didn’t say, is that she wanted to move from here. She had noticed that people were looking at them, especially when Dermott and Maeve were talking in their mind, without saying anything loudly. Besides, she could hear more people getting closer to the place, and she didn’t want to be the center of all the attentions. She stood up, faced Maeve, inviting her to take her hand and said. “So?”

Caipra followed every step of the reunion in silence. From the moment Maeve had leaned against a banister until the hawk landed on the wall next to them. the old lady could only imagine the shock Maeve had suffered when she felt the presence of her brother for the first time after so long. She herself had lost this kind of bond when her husband had disappeared in the Realm of Mist. It felt like a part of yourself was missing. Now that the link was reestablished between the brother and the sister, it was going to take a little time before everything goes back to normal.
Caipra was standing next to the red head, a hand on her shoulder, just in case she would faint. The reunion was so intense and full of emotions that she just didn't dare to interrupt them, But she could also feel the confusion of Dermott, even if he was trying to remain calm, for her sister. When he took a look at her, she answered his silent question by a smile, and then she reported her attention to Maeve, approving Dermott's idea. "Come on dear, let's sit down a minute." She said out loud. Not only because she needed it, but also because more and more people were staring at them, wondering what was going on. She took Meve's arm, and dragged her to the stone bench.

Caipra bowed as well with a smile, as Ziad was leaving. Then the two women continued their walk in silence. As they were getting closer to the tavern, The old sorceress started to perceive again the strong aura of Bryn. she seemed to be awake, which meant that the rest of the crew was surely awake too. Her attention was suddenly diverted when she felt another aura moving toward them. When she recognized its owner, she couldn't help but take a quick look to the sky, before watching Maeve from the corner of her eye. Did she feel it too?

"I fully trust the caliphs guards. they proved to be very effective more than once." Caipra simply answered with a smile. And then, just because she thought they had enough wait, she just added. "Maybe we could go to see Kriss now. Something tells me that she'll be glad to see us."
Indeed, she hadn't seen the tavern's owner since she had found the guard and the old lady in the stockage room, and now, bringing Maeve to the tavern was not going to fix everything. But she didn't have a choice.

Don't worry girls, Caipra will take care of the tavern's owner during the reunion.
