I've seen two different banners...one is your first one and the second one is great too! The one with three pics of your AV! It's wonderful!
And I can see Sinbad's confusion now! ;D Yea, he did a wonderful job portraying 'a-jealous-sea-captain-trying-not-to-seem-so'.

I was just watching this ep today, because I felt like it ;D I noticed the stunt double too, several times... And I think it's that same wig they used in Hell House more than a year later. I figured that they were second unit shots that were filmed while Jackie was not available. I just had the speech in mind that Maeve gave Sinbad about men in ships etc the first time they meet. And then she actually meets some marauders who kidnap her and she's... well she seems rather amused if inconvenienced by it. Her escape attempts seem rather half-assed. Even when she FINALLY forms the fireball she seems reluctant to smoke anybody and when she FINALLY reveals that she can actually still do spells with her handcuffs on she just makes the pretty boy float like a butterfly. I think she was kind of entertained by the whole kidnap, not really worried at all because if she couldn't save herself, the boys would come and save her. Only when the whole life-endangerment issue came up she was less than pleased... Also, the disembodied voice in the cave was sooo unimpressive! Like an accountant reading the dictionary with a dark echo under it. But I LOVE the random giant animal monsters! The CGI is SO bad, but that just makes them all the more endearing. Hee! and Doubar bravely trying to act being grabbing by the web even though he just had to twist himself to get in there. How do they get attached to the web with their backs? Wouldn't they walk into it face first? And Eyolf soooooo isn't a sailor! Did you see the knot he used to tie Maeve's gag? Wait a second! I am sensing a conspiracy! Sinbad was very bored one day when it turned out weekly adventures don't actually happen every week. So he decided to have an adventure and endear himself to Maeve in one go: he paid a theatretroupe to "kidnap" Maeve dressed as Norsemen and to have some good special effects for him to rescue her from. Maeve overheard this deal and gamely played along. It is nice sometimes, to be rescued like the lady that you are. Or maybe I am overthinking it again. One or the other

*cries with laughter* Haaaahaha, a theatre-troupe. Awesome! And so true, he killed two birds with one stone there - having some fun himself and impressing Maeve a bit as a bonus. ;D
But right, Maeve didn't really seem much concerned now did she? I guess she indeed wasn't much worried for her well-being. Well, that is until the whole sacrifice issue was mentioned. XP Lol, now I'm curious about the voice in the cavern though. XD It wasn't that bad in our dubbing I would think. Haha, so well spoken about the CGI monster though. They were so badly done but therefore so endearing in a way. ;D I, too, never understood though how the guys ended up with their backs to the net. On the other hand, it would have been pretty impersonal to only see their behinds during the scene. >.> ... XD

There are SO many ways to respond to that! All of them dirty! Most of them involving season 2's leather pants. Must... contain... self...
I will distract myself by doing an impression of how the echoing voice came across to me: *Ahum* Woooo. Generic scary thing. 'Cos if you're scared you'll do as I say. Just telling you that so you'll know how to respond in the future, when you're properly scared. When I've starved you half to death you'll do anything to please me. 'Cozzz I'm so scary. Also, we're going to be sooo happy together *squee* But don't forget I'm scaaaary. *giggles*

I never noticed that. ;D I guess she trusted her friends to find her and rescue her, since they didn't catch Dermott.

One of the best episodes of the first season. Maeve really looked a little reluctant to use her spells against the Vikings, she probably relied on the help of our boys very much.
I have never noticed the usage of the stunt instead of Maeve in the first season, so I watched it more carefully and I noticed it finally. Maeve looks much more better...
The rescue mission of the rest of the crew was good. The typical Firouz's monologue in the dangerous situation: "when something happens in the forest" and the heroic efforts of Doubar to save Sinbad, which turned against him.
Sinbad's fear about Maeve was glorious.
And the final scene with Sinbad and his jealousy was funny. The reaction of the crew was also great. They suspected them of some mutual feelings for some time in my opinion. I believe, that this suspicion has started after the events from the episode Still Life. I clearly remember the scene, when Sinbad tried to persuade them, that he has not more feelings for Maeve then he has for the rest of the crew.

Actually, I never really understood why she held back like this. My best guess would be that deep inside she felt that these weren't bad people. Apart from Vincenzo, she's always been good at noticing when someone's evil or not, so maybe that's what made her be reluctant? Because somehow I can't really believe that she was relying this much on the guys, not until she was bound and gagged anyway. *shrugs* Noticing the stunt double took me ages as well. I just never really watched out for it and thus missed the little (and sometimes not so little x) changes. Now that is definitely true. *snortgiggles* Heroic, but not all too well thought-out. xP Oh, and Firouz' monologues are always a delight to listen to. Say, do you remember if he still held those in S2? I'm really not sure right now. Somehow I don't think he did because he's been more of a physician in S2 than an inventor and as such might have rambled on less about science. But seems I've had a too long break from watching AoS... I start forgetting stuff. >.> Hehehe, indeed! Last but not least, as for the crew's reaction (which was always awesome, because they just laugh their heads off everytime Sinbad and/or Maeve get stuck in a situation during which their feelings for each other are addressed)... aye, great's just the right word for it. Indeed they must've known since "Still Life" at the least. Doubar's teasing was waaaay to obvious. He knew exactly that his little brother is more than just a little fond of the Celtic Lass, and he and the crew have no troubles having a little fun on their captain's expense. ;D

I think that these monologues of Firouz were typical only for the first season. His image of the inventor was almost forgotten in the second season. During the first season he created a lot of inventions, but I do not remember, if he created one invention in the second season at least.
The scene with Doubar was funny, and also his line: "I can’t believe I just did that."

I'm not sure either whether he created anything at all in S2. I really only recall him as being a physician there, and a considerably better fighter than he was in S1. Could you tell me just when he says that? I've mainly watched our dubbing so sometimes I'm not familiar with the original lines.

And do you watch it in which language? He said it in the moment when he stuck in the web with Sinbad after the effort to save him. I watched it in Czech language for the first time.

I'm usually watching it in German. Hehe, and in that dubbing he just says: "I don't believe it!". ;D

He said in our dubbing: "I do not understand, how this happened to me?"

Hehe, it's always awesome to see how different the dubbings are at times. ^^
