In general: What??? "Greatest story ever told" has been removed? *starts to whimper* Man, that's been the first vid I saw on youtube. It's been that time when I had my intermediate exams and I was going totally crazy because of them and out of frustration simply took a chance and let youtube search for AoS. *sighs* Untill that moment I had thought the fandom had died. But this vid proved me elsewise. You could even say "greatest story ever told" is my reason for being here today... Thank the Gods that I have saved it on my PC as well...  Really? "Greatest story ever told" is also my reason for being here, too!  Until then I too thought that the fandom had died & I was the only one in the whole wide world still in love with AOS!  |

Yeah, right. He/she shouldn't have done it without permission. If it was my video, I probably would've murdered him/her. & to prevent something like this here, our wise captain Sinbad has already put a warning notice hanging infront of the fanfic thread! |

Right. You will kill him and spend the rest of your life behind bars. And all for just a fanvideo. If it is posted online, it is public material no-matter who created it, as long as you do not sell it. If he did not wish this, then he should have wrote not to post this video without permission. If you noticed, the video "My Big Mistake" has that message at the end.

Liz-jen did have a similar message in their website... "This site operates as a fan-site and no copyright infringement is intended. *shrugs* I can understand people getting mad at that, because even though it´s fanfiction or a fanvideo, the original ideas are from yourself of the person who created it. Therefore, taking it away is a sort of copyright infringement. I would be horribly mad if someone took one of my stories and posted them as their own.

And what loopholes do you need to do to protect you against claims of copyright infringement? Do you just write the documentation? @doubar Do you know something about it ?? How was it with your vid ?? Well, as most others I simply include the credits in my vids (i.e. the show and the song). In addition to this you can clarify in the text you write that this is nothing but a fanvid and that it is not for any commercial purpose. But if that will really keep them from removing it when they want to ... I don't know. *shrugs* @talya: *hugs* Hehe, so seems we're not the only ones in the world.  |
