The Romans, when they first encountered the deer, they though it was a new species so they named it a unicorn. I highly doubt that the Romans saw a rhino. That would mean they would have to had crossed the Sahara desert. I think the Roman Empire may have reached as far as northern Sudan. And Romans were not very good sailors, so they could not have sailed down the coast. But Sinbad may know more that me.

Wow, that's weird in deed. But cute one. *ponders* Yeah well. Take an albino of that species and there you've got a unicorn ...
You know what the species is called, Firouz?

Oh, sorry, misread your post. It is actually not a different species, but a deer. It has the same genetic material as a deer. It is just a mutated one. You know, like some babies are born with one arm. Same thing.
The Romans had no clue about genetics, so they thought it was a new species.

Oh, I see. Thanx Firouz. Thought that maybe it was an own species, but mutants are logical.

Hey, talking about mutants, I thought maybe magic is a part of all of us. Just some people can control it better than others. You know, just like X-men.

Hehe, what a sweet and funny story, Firouz. ;D Btw.: has any of you ever read the alternate second season from lizjen.net? It's brilliant!

No, haven't read it but plan to when I get more time. Can you share a summary?

Well, haven't got it on this PC but from what I remember it contains of roughly 18 stories or even more. It blends out what happened in the "real" season two as according to theirs the storm never washed Maeve away (-> thus Sinbad never changed and Bryn never showed up). This season two starts off with Maeve searching for the book of Dark and Light and her rescuciating Mustafa (accidently if I might add). What follows is a nice bunch of episodes that deal with different things. The great showdown then is about the rainbow bracelets and Maeve and Sinbad's relationship. All the stories are written brilliantly, with nice sense for detail. I had to get used to reading about Mustafa though, especially as they included some hostility between him and Firouz, but in general it's been a brilliant alternate second season.
