We had a small discussion about minor crewmen in the topic of Hell House. I decided to add a list of crewmen who were named in TV series, if someone had the interest to look at it, maybe use it in a fan fiction or something similar. Unfortunately, the most of them were killed or only mentioned in an episode, only one of them got a little room in an episode (when I do not count Mustapha). In some cases, I did not find these names in the written form, so there could be an occasional mistake in spelling. I want to apologize for this.
The first season:
(In comparison with the second season, only very few minor crewmen were showed more than somewhere in the background during an episode.)
The return of Sinbad 1,2:
Mustapha: I think that he does not need to be introduced very much, he was quite significant in both episodes. Imprisoned in the same prison with Sinbad and Doubar, he escaped together with Doubar and helped to save Sinbad before execution, later he brought his good friend Rongar into the crew. He was killed in the fight with the demon Iblis during their mission to save the future wife of the prince Casib, died as a true hero.
The Isle of Bliss:
Amid: A crewman who was washed overboard when Alana used her spell for the first time and changed a day into a night.
It is really all for the first season. No more minor crewmen were named or showed more.
The second season:
The Sacrifice:
(There also appeared three next unnamed crewmen who were helping Doubar with finding Maeve after the fight with the islanders which enabled them survive the episode.)
Hakeem, Bernardi, Jakar: These three men accompanied Rongar and Sinbad when they tried to save Bryn who was kidnapped by the Great Cayman. They were eaten alive by the water dragon when the group tried to come across the lake. Hakeem as the first, Bernardi as the second. Jakar tried to return to the shore with Rongar but he did not catch it.
Heart and Soul:
Nectou, Barada: They helped the crew with the transportation of goods to the castle of the vampire Orlock. It was mentioned that they were best friends. Nectou was sucked by the Orlock's wife Kalilah. Barada was imprisoned together with the rest of the crew in the dungeon. Although he was afraid of dying here at first, he found courage to fight for his life and for lives of his friends as well at the end. When Bryn was endangered by Kalilah he tried to get to her together with Doubar, but they were stopped by guards. When Doubar and Firouz decided to attack guards regardless of their own lives, he joined to this idea saying that he dies during the attempt to avenge his best friend Nectou. When Sinbad and Rongar returned with the heart of Kalilah, he was released as the rest of the crew and returned to the board of Nomad.
The Curse of the Gorgons:
Davi, Evan: They accompanied the crew into the forest where Gorgons ruled. Davi was turned into the stone by one of these Gorgons. Evan was afraid when he saw this. He tried to run from the forest, but he was attacked by the third bat-sister. His remains were found by the crew later in a cocoon. If Davi turned back into living form after the defeat of Gorgons, remains unknown (probably not as he wasn't seen leaving the village with the crew at the end of the episode).
The Passengers:
Ateeb, Strock: Ateeb tried to warn Sinbad before Kundalini when he embarked on Nomad, but Kundalini used his spell against him. He was burned alive by the possessed daughter of Kundalini. Strock was unwillingly forced to imprison Doubar, when Kundalini started to control Sinbad. Sinbad started to resist the power of Kundalini after that and Kundalini wanted to gain control again. Strock appeared on the board during this and he noticed that something is wrong with Sinbad. He was sent to find Bryn, but he met the possessed daughter of Kundalini in her cabin and he was also killed. Later both these crewmen were turned into zombies by Ria and the crew was forced to throw them overboard.
A City Under Plague:
Grab, Bosley: They were imprisoned in the below deck together with Doubar, Rongar and Bryn by the Death Riders. When the crew managed to overcome them, Grab and Bosley stayed on the board to guard, while Doubar, Rongar and Bryn went to the town to find Sinbad and Firouz.
The Empress:
Gemsheed: He was killed when the guards of the Empress Hitreea attacked the ship at the beginning.
The Beast of Dark:
(There appeared more crewmen but I mention only crewmen with names)
Asheed, Bennar: Asheed was killed during the attack of the monster on the beach during the first night. He was crushed to the longboat under which he was sleeping. Bennar stayed as the leader on the board of Nomad during whole episode and he brought a new longboat to the island which helped the crew to escape without Mutaro knowing something.
Hell House:
Tallos: He should care about the cargo and the bill for it, when Doubar and the rest of the crew went to save Sinbad.
Quite difference between the numbers of crewmen who died in the both season, does not it? In the first season died only these two men (plus one unnamed crewman was eaten by the water dragon in the Return of Sinbad), in the second season a lot more. (plus a few unnamed crewmen were killed in action as well here: one by pirates who were hired to bring Uruck in the Monster, one by the Death Riders in A City Under Plague, five next unnamed crewmen were killed by the monster in The Beast of Dark)
