May as well dedicate a thread to gaming so I don't annoy folks with my constant rambling. XP Anyways. Here's the thread to post your favorite Systems, Games, or even just the experiences you've had with gaming even if you're not a full blown gamer. As for myself. I own a Playstation 2, Xbox 360, Nintendo DSi XL, and Nintendo 3DS. Of all the games I own though, my end all, be all, favorites are.. Kid Icarus: Uprising kidicarus.nintendo.com/and Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time (European Box Art) zelda.com/ocarina3d/#/home

Aw, I wonder why I didn't stop by here earlier. It's a nice idea for a thread. I must admit though that I'm not too much of a gamer person, but if there's one game that can get me all captivated it's Okami. The very best game ever imho (though I'm probably not the best person to judge on this as I have hardly ever played any other games, lol). It bursts with wonderful stories, awesome and funny characters, humour and just amazingly beautiful sceneries. Also the plot itself is great, especially if you're interested a tiny bit in Japanese mythology, and the gameplay is just great - very well balanced and easy to get into (even if you're an absolute beginner like I was and probably still am). I was even highly tempted to get myself a NDS only so that I could play the sequel Okamiden but then the whole thing was a bit too expensive to afford it just yet. Still, one day I sure am gonna catch up on that. @ Khei: Oh, Zelda - Ocarina of Time ... I heard about that. Must be great gameplay and an all around awesome piece of work.

I haven't played Okami but I've thought about snagging a copy. I need to finish the games I have atm first though. My current obsession is the Uncharted Series. It started when I actually WON a FREE Playstation Vita. I downloaded a demo and needed the game.. A friend got it for me as a gift... Uncharted: Golden Abyss.. Words cannot describe my love of this game. It also started my obsession with the lead character, Nathan Drake. I mean look at this guy?! He might not be real but can you blame me for obsessing over this character?! (These are IN GAME graphics mind you!) Now I pretty much collect anything and everything having anything to do with Uncharted. Even a stupidly expensive Nathan Drake Collectable action figure that I refuse to remove from the box to keep it in pristine condition. My husband was down here visiting these last two weeks and brought his PS3 with him just so I could get my Uncharted Fix by playing the original Uncharted: Drakes Fortune Unfortunately now I desperately need a PS3... Alas. I must wait untill my immigration paperwork is finalized and approved. Until then the other games wait for me in Canada. XP

Yay for Necroing old threads! New minor obsession... I have to recomend this game to anyone who has access to a PS3. It's more art and emotional experience than a true game. The controls are simple and it's just mind blowing how addictive it is. From begining to end, if you play through without much exploration, takes maybe two hours but it'll be the most unique two hours you'll ever spend playing a video game.

Oooh, that seems familiar. I think I once read an article about it. Must be utterly beautiful. Hey and... wait... I think what we have is actually a PS3. >.> Thanx, Ash! I think I'll definitely try it out.

Wow.. Just spent several hours playing the new Tomb Raider. It's not a BAD game but it still doesn't hold a candle to Uncharted. Then again I've learned not to expect much from SquareEnix. They're out for the money. Quality games are not SE's priority.. Not like it is with Naughty Dog. It'll suffice until "The Last of Us" is released next month tho. aaaand.. Gonna just toss this bad boy up here.. My PSN trophy card. ^^ Updates every so often which my newest trophies.

Small update..
I just gotta say..
JEEBUS!!!
It takes a LOT for ME to consider anything excessive but the new Tomb Raider game is excessive with the amount of blood, gore, and vulgar language it contains..
If you're squemish about blood, don't play the game.. I'm not even very far into it TBH and I've already been through and entire section where you wade waist deep in blood, entrails, and dismembered limbs.. It was almost enough to make me sick which, I must tell you, is a real feat.
The "Baddies" practically explode with blood when shot and every couple of minutes someone has to use vulgar language.
Granted, even Uncharted had some language but it was used in ways that added to the story, made it believeable, realistic, and often funny. It was also used sparingly.
Tomb Raider's story is very flat and boring. The characters are bland and give me no reason to care what happens to them..
In short TR is trying to be Uncharted without being Uncharted but fails miserably. If you can cope with the blood and vicera as well as the cursing and don't expect much from the game, it's a decent game but I wouldn't really recomend it to anyone...

Just gotta say...
OMG! The Last of Us rips your heart out, stomps on it, then shoves it back into your chest in just the prologue alone! If you aren't crying at the end of the prologue, there's something wrong with you.
The story will tear out your heartstrings. fair warning! You WILL get attached to these characters!

alex That it is. Gut wrenching, heart pounding, and at times hilarious. Lots of vulgar language but in a post-apocalyptic setting where everything is out to kill you, I guess that WOULD be the norm. lol
