"And I am sure it will still be waiting for you when we return," Sinbad countered his brother´s words with a somewhat wry smirk. He wasn´t feeling too uncomfortable or concerned yet. Even though he didn´t feel too good about letting Bryn walk off alone after what had happened the night before, it was morning now and most thugs tended to retreat to the shadows they crept from once the sun rose. And while that did not necessarily guarantee peace in streets such as these ones, it definitely made things a little less dangerous. Plus, they had already caught up with her so it didn´t seem like anything was at odds.
He took the lead but was more or less strolling ahead of his friends and brother to catch up with Bryn. "I am sure he´s going to be all right," he said, not dismissing Bryn´s concerns completely but in an attempt to calm her down a little. The city hadn´t treated her too nicely so far after all. "He has been behaving a little odd yesterday too." He followed a young merchant with his eyes who was hurrying towards and past him. The lad seemed in quite a hurry.

In response to what his brother said, Doubar weighed his head slightly. It was likely that Sinbad was right and in addition to that finding Dermott seemed to be their best option of quickly getting back to starting the day in a proper manner. So, while he heard his captain talk about the bird, obviously trying to calm Bryn who still seemed distinctly worried about the little hawk, Doubar gave a small nod before he tore his gaze apart from the now blue sky and moved to follow his brother's lead.
"Any idea where we should start looking for him then?", he asked no one in particular as he came to catch up on Bryn. His pale eyes thereby came to lie on the sorceress who, out of the four of them knew their feathered companion best after all. As far as Doubar was concerned he didn't see much chance in finding Dermott by just walking around in Basra and calling out for him. Maybe he had flown off to hunt outside the city, or he had retreated to the coast, giving his mistress some time on her own when the previous evening had been so hard on her.
While he waited patiently for any assumption to be voiced, he noticed how his younger brother's attention was drawn to a young man who just passed them by, the lad's steps carrying him quickly towards one of the lanes that lead away from the tavern and forth to the market area. Normally Doubar wouldn't even have done as much as give that man a second thought but as in the periphery of his vision he noticed how two women cradling their children hastily emerged the same street the merchant had just disappeared into, his eyebrows rose. He couldn't put his finger on what it was exactly, but something about what he saw caught his interest. Something that unfortunately didn't feel quite right.

Firouz followed behind the brothers, giving Bryn a comforting smile, and said, "As stated, I do believe he is fine."
As they walked, the throng of people seemed to be in a frenzy of the beginnings of panic. He could see it in their eyee, in their tense shoulders, and in the mother's over-protective behaviors.
He tilted his head and thought of what that could possibly mean.
He used his interpretations of Rongar's body language as a basis for his absent-minded thoughts outloud, "Tense shoulders, eyes wide open, and mothers holding their children close..."
