Hi guys, since I'm not been able to be online for a long while lately, and this already happened several times so far, I think it's better if I free my character. This way, if somebody wants to play him, he will be eventually available to be taken over, and you guys can go on with the story involving him at least. Bye Bye my little bird, I had a lot of fun with you those last two years. I'm sure you will find a wonderful keeper

Hey there. First off: thank you for being this honest with us. I can well imagine how hard it must be for you to free the little birdie. But Nili and me, we've been thinking a little about it, too. And we think that maybe, together, we can find a solution that benefits all of us. I do not know whether you already know when things will calm down for you again. But maybe we could just write him in for the time being. Most of the work would have to be done by Maeve and Bryn there, so that would depend on what the two of them say. But such posts - that involve your birdie's thoughts - needn't be as elaborate as yours have been so maybe that'd work. Another possibility I can think of is that a willing member could take him over temporarily - be like a delegate and have him as sort of a "little" character. Of course this depends on whether one of us could imagine to play him for some time and then give him back to you once you can find the time for rp-ing again. But it could be worth a try. In any case: Know that you were a great Dermott! And I'm sure I'm speaking for all of us here when I say that it's a real pity (but understandable) that you have to give up on him. *hugs*

Doubar beat me to it Basically I would agree to and support everything she has just said. there are ways to maybe let him be taken over by somebody temporarily if you so wish. This it not to put you under pressure or anything, I just think that you shouldn´t feel like you have to give up the birdy if you don´t want to. You´ve been doing a really nice job portraying him so far and I think everyone can understand temporary absences like that. So I think that might be a way if you agree. Other than that, yes, Doubs summed it up just the way I would have wanted to say it, sorry I didn´t answer your mail yet, Derms.

Thank you guys, you are very kind and thoughtful. Dermott is an easy character to be written in, because of his …ehm cursed-contition. ;D He has never had much space in the original series either, with his little focus on season 1, which completely disappeared in S2. He actually talks and speaks mostly in fanfictions, or in alternate seasons like ours. And since he had been more active to begin with at DL, I thought that maybe in situations like Maeve’s return it would be strange to make him silent again, so I’m giving up the character since I’m afraid I can’t be back as an active player anytime soon (but of course I won’t be leaving DL, just RPGing for an undefined while). Do not worry for me, of course I grew fond of Dermott, but I’d also like the story to go on, and if you need to fill the gaps, find a temporary player or give him to somebody who would like to portray him, I’m ok with whatever you guys choose to do. According to the game’s requirements. So I’d leave this tread in idle, just to give to potential players the possibility to have the hawk. If he will be still available in the future, I will be glad to take him back, but if in the meanwhile there will be other arrangements, I won’t be disappointed either. I could always try with some other role. It’s not like AOS world is out of characters. Anyway, I just wanted to left the possibility open, in case you may need it in afterwards. @doubs :hugs:. You are always a jewel, I’m flattered : @nili It’s okay dear, I’m not that fast with mails either

I'm gonna miss you, Little Brother...*hugs just because* But don't worry, like we always say here, real life comes first. And even if you're not rpging, you'll always be a part of DL no matter what. Love you, dear!

That really is sweet of you, Dermott! And so I guess we'll leave it open for now and see which solution is the best. Maybe one of us is willing to take him for the time being, and maybe we can write him in. In any case thank you for being this thoughtful of us and the play. And as for the rest: I can do nothing but agree with Maeve there. We will miss (y)our featherbrain but, well as we always say: RL always come first. And, aye, you'll always be part of the crew! *joins the gus just because*

@ Rongar, Doubs, Sis (can I still call you Sister right?), Thank you guys :Collective Hug:. Of course I will still be here , I have no intention to leave DL, and who knows what the future will bring us. But the Nomad must keep on sailing, to lovely spaces, wherever the wind takes us ;D ;D ;D (I couldn't help to quote the last scene from Hell House) ;D ;D ;D
