Or if something should happen in Basra when Sinbad and his crew comme there, maybe Mala can come to Caipra to warn her too. Caipra obviously doesn't know Mala, but she believes in ghosts so... Well, I'm just trying to put my character in this part of the story! ^_^

Oh, Sinbad would enjoy seeing drunk Maeve ;D But I think that could work. It would make sense story wise because Mala would keep watching and she also might have become curious about who Maeve is after she saw how Sinbad behaved. Also, I´d say that her coming to Maeve to tell her Sinbad is in danger wouldn´t work as well because there wouldn´t be much consequence or sense in that. Maeve can´t do anything to help him after all and Mala probably would´t know.

Caipra: That sounds okay to me. Rumina: I like the reflection idea. The wine, not so much. Could we skip that? And I would go against having Mala enter the realm.

Why not let her have some wine?

Because that would be a little like modern times.

I wouldn´t say wine is a modern days drink. Did you know that the troops of Julius Caesar were told to drink one litre of red wine per day because this was good against illnesses? And that monks in the Middle Ages drank a lot of dark beer during lent because it was good nutrition when they were not allowed much food?

Modern times? I don't think so... And I'm not saying she'll get totally hung over!!! For god's sake, Maeve is Irish, and people have been getting drunk since the dawn of our specie!

@sinbad: I did not mean that, smarty pants. I meant the scene: a sober one drinking wine and looking out to the sea. Can't you find something less cliche.

*shrugs* I don´t see any wrong with it. Especially since wine was drunk rather frequently back then, by kids, too. Almost like today´s coke

Do we need the drink? Can't Maeve just sit on the beach at think back?

*shrugs* I guess that´s up to Maeve. I personlly don´t see anything wrong with a detail like this.

((shrugs))
It might make maeve a bit more accessible to have the wine while thinking. I know some people are VERY against thinking certain thing, and the wine might lower those blocks to allow her to think back

*scans all the posts that have been made and tries to comment on them* Rumina and Firouz: Hm, I personally have troubles as well with imagining Maeve sitting there with a bottle of whine, but as Sinbad and you, dear, already pointed out: alc has been drunken since the dawn of civilastion and maybe even before that. If you do not overdo it, honey, I'm okay with it. And after all, what the sorceress does is only up to you. Oh, and love the idea of her thinking about the past. *winks* You know me. I'm the melancholic type. Rumina: Hm, to be honest, I don't see a good reason too. @sinbad: Yeah, well, might work, but just like Firouz I wouldn't vote fot that option. Mala does have powers (we saw that in "Hell House") but I wouldn't make her be that mighty to go everywhere she wants and cross any magical borders. Furthermore it would be unlogical for her to know where Maeve is. After all she doesn't know anything but the name. @cairpa: Yeah, would work. Especially since Caipra is a powerful sorceress and would most likely feel that Mala is a good ghost. Only problem there would be that first I'd have to have at least a vague idea of what is going to happen ... which would ruin the current fun in not knowing what Rumi has planned. *ponders* Although ... she could just pop in in the middle of the night, give Caipra a rather cryptic warning and dissapear again. ... @firouz: To be honest, I like such a situation best. And well, I got no problem with letting the two have a chat. After all Bryn and Firouz have been talking with one another as well. It'll make the thing be more like a own fic, but I wouldn't have asked to play Mala if I hadn't already decided on such chats being no problem. Well, yeah. And in fact that she is a ghost. ;D But, honestly, I wouldn't think Sinbad would get frightened. He knows that Mala is good and pure and he knows the world of magic ... to a certain extent that is. But, sure, Nili would have to decide on that. ------ in general: Well, tell me whether you want to have her in so soon or not. I personally don't feel rushed to bring her in. After all I have Doubar and thus would be fine as well if Mala joined the game at a later point of time. But if you wanna see her soon I'll be okay with it.

I vote as having her come in later, unless you want her to come to Doubar or the other options I mentioned.
