Hmm, *scratches chin* that makes me think about something: who did cook back then when Sinbad and Doubar had been living with DimDim? Three men ... suppose DimDim used some magic .. *chuckles* @sinbad: Thanx for adding them.

My guess would be... some mediterranian sort of... equivalent of a pizza service? It would explain Doubar´s physique ;D

*lies on the floor laughing* Aye, that it must have been. *suddenly has mental image of Sinbad not wanting to finish his pizza off and begging Doubar to do that for him ... again* ;D

If I remember my ancient cultures class right, the cuisine there was a lot of spice-y herbs, fresh fruits, and lots of high cultural finger foods...like shich-kababs, clams from the shell, and thin breads or flat breads with pork, cheese, and other herbs on it.
This vast, unified territory became a conduit of culture and cuisine, and native Persian ingredients such as saffron and rose water were spread throughout the empire. The Persians also traded with the kingdoms of the Far East: Caravans traveling along the Silk Road from China to present-day Syria brought citrus fruits, eggplants, and rice from Asia to the Middle East and the Mediterranean.
They had so many variations to it all too.

@all: Wanted to ask you something that's been nagging on my mind for quite a while now: are we going to have Mala in the game some day? Because if so ... errr ... I wanted to ask if I would be allowed to rpg her - of course only if no newbie should ask for her. I mean I know that, originally, I didn't want to have two chars. But watching "Hell House" again made me so like her character. And knowing that she couldn't be a constant part of the game anyway makes it easier too, 'caus she wouldn't be a second full-time-char.

Having Mala in it now and then could be an interesting idea, especially since we could easily legitimate her presence. She was around at Scratch´s place in Hell House which makes us think that she has been having an eye on her sons and she might not let down her guard easily or too soon and "check" on them now and then. I think at a later point in the game Mala would offer awesome oportunities for plot twists. Consider her reserved for ya.

Yeah, great! Doubar, you would now be a dead woman walking. Maybe you could come to Maeve in a vision or ghost form. We must be at port if you want Mala to appear in human form, because if on the ship, it would be like "Where did you come from?"

Yeah, great! Doubar, you would now be a dead woman walking. Yes, and I can hunt you and follow you even into your dreams. *laughs menacingly* No, honestly. She is a really sweet one and I like good and pure characters as she is (or at least that's how I see her ) Yeah, have thought about something like that as well. Only had no idea for what reason she should appear in Maeve's dreams now. There's no need for her ... plus, till now she doesn't even know her. But at some later point I guess I'll take the opportunity ... always depending on how the play develops. Haha, yeah. There's no reason for her to pop in now. Rumi hasn't even plotted against the crew properly so why should she visit them? Telling from how I got it, Mala would only appear in her human form if her sons were in great danger. And that's not the case ... at the moment at least.

Yes, and I can hunt you and follow you even into your dreams. *laughs menacingly* Actually, I though she was rather hot. ;D I will be glad if she visits me in my dreams. I meant in general. It would be weird if they were in the middle of the sea, and she suddenly shows up. I would be very careful when to bring in Mala.

Actually, I though she was rather hot. ;D I will be glad if she visits me in my dreams. Definitely. Yes. I didn't intend on having Mala just how up, saying "Hi, here am I. Missed me boys?". But in general I think it doesn't matter if they are on sea or land. Instead the situation in which she comes back is important. Just like Nili already said: she won't let down her guard and if her boys are in big trouble she might come to their help. But she won't show up just for fun, that I can guarantee you.

I did not mean that either. I know she would appear only when they are in trouble. But if they were at port, it is possible Mala was part of the crowd. Only Doubar knows Mala's identity. On the ship, she could come to Doubar (but then you would have to talk to yourself ), come to Sinbad in a dream, or appear to either Maeve or Bryn. I mentioned the two sorceresses because they would understand ghosts. If she appeared to Sinbad in human form, he might suspect her to be a ghost (how else could she get on the ship) and either freak out or start questioning.

Well, I like the idea of Mala paying a visit to Maeve but I just can't come up with an actual purpose for it. Maybe she wants to cheer Maeve up and prevent her from completely losing hope, dunno, something like that...'cause Maeve is quite gloomy right now...

Rumina: No, you are quite gloomy, now. ;D How was you physics test? I don't see Mala coming to cheer Maeve up. Maeve is not that weak. But she could come to Maeve to warn her that something was going to happen to Sinbad.

She's not weak, but she's pretty hopeless! And I actually plan to open another thread where Maeve, after the little evening chat with Dim-Dim, will finish the night back at the beach once more, with a conjured up bottle of wine...She'll spend the night reflecting on some memories, good and bad, of her time on the Nomad.
That's when Mala could pop up...To knock some sense into Maeve and set her back on track.
