Okay. I said I'd do this so Let's do this.
Here we have a nice little thread for discussing Anime and Manga.
This way the Otaku among us can keep from driving everyone else bonkers. lol Also if the Anime virgins among us are curious and would like more information on any particular Anime or Manga we can ramble on and on.. Maybe even convert a few people *Stupid Grin*
I'm well versed in a lot of anime.. even if I haven't seen it I usually know enough about it to comment. Information I don't have, I can find easily enough. Anime News Network is likely a VERY good site to get information from.. Wikipedia also has a lot of info as well.

I guess I'm now asking the stupiest question ever... but how comes the anime is called "Ah! My Goddess!" while the mange is called "Oh! My Goddess!"? You know, when you and Bryn talked about it I thought the "Ah!" was simply the English version. I had never watched or read it before, but have heard of it. But I only knew it as "Oh!..." and simply assumed that this was how it's called in our country. But seeing that one now kinda surprises me. x)

If memory serves correctly the title was originally a play on the English expression "OH MY GOD!" but is translation the Oh became Ah! in Japanese so in Japanese the title is "Ah! Megamisama!"
In translating back to English for the Anime they kept the Ah! intact. When someone learnd of the original translation issue they changed it back to Oh for the Manga translations. (as the Manga was translated long after the Anime was already translated)
so the Anime is called Ah! My Goddess! while the Manga is called Oh! My Goddess!

Great thread Khei ;D here one of the best Anime movies i like a lot. " Appleseed ex-machina"The graphic is stunning and the story itself is brilliant.  I think It worth more than the 4 out of 5 stars it get in IMDB www.imdb.com/title/tt1043842/I'm currently planning to watch Vexille another one somehow similar to Ex-machina   |

Of all the people I know, online and offline, You either love or hate "Slayers". and In my humble opinion if you only ever see one episode, OVA, or movie, Make it "Slayers Great". It's the funniest film in the Slayers series, hands down. It's a great introduction to the series without having to watch any other part of the franchise. Nice, smooth animation you'd expect from a film above a TV series or OVA and a storyline that's easy to follow and keeps your attention. It'll also make you laugh until it hurts. Innocent silliness with a few minor innuendos. (Mostly just making a point of Naga's over-sized breasts and Lina's lack thereof. This being a running gag throughout the series/ovas/films)  |

I've gotten myself hooked on "Wolf's Rain" as of late.. Mostly because I got it dirt cheap at Right Stuf.. $37.99 USD was too good a deal to pass up (Considering the series usually sells for $100+ USD) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolf%27s_Rain I also got lucky and was able to snag "Lost Universe" for a steal at $19.99 USD! Another addiction for me.. Spice & Wolf (Manga) I'll have to give the Anime a chance later.. (I still have to finish LotS S2, AoS S2, FMA, Slayers Revolution, Slayers Evolution-R... ugh) A very cute and funny series thus far if you can look past the fact that Holo has no problem with being nude. Khei: Love lost universe, though I watched it dubbed. ;D ...................................................................................................... I received good news in the end of 2010. My everlasting lovable anime Mobile Suit Gundam Wing has a sequence!!!! It is supposed to end after 49 episodes, 1 movie (ova) and three short ovas with three mangas at least. ;D The series ended without us- the fans-know anything about what could possibly happen to the main characters (and to my two lovable couple Heero and Relena ^^ ) Now, the authors published new novel called " Frozen Teardrop" enlightens what happened to the five gundam pilots and the other main chars. And there is a new Manga as well, " Endless Waltz: The glory of the defeated" I'm hyper. ;D ;D ;D

@ Bryn Nothing wrong with Dubbed (I watch most of my Anime Dubbed even when the subbed is superior)
I completely forgot about Gundam Wing! I was a fan of GW BIG time in the day (YEARS ago) I still have a Wallscroll of all five pilots (As much as I hate Wufei) and a cute lil laminated Poster of Duo (Yes, like most fangirls, I was a Duo nut) I have two different Deathscythe models (Just not the Endless Waltz version) PVC figures of all five pilots as well as Relina and Zechs(sic?), and SD keychains of Deathscythe, Zero, and Wufei's Gundam (Who's name eludes me ATM)
