Khei: So you mean, a majority of those manga fans learned to understand Japanese? Aye! aye! there is lots of people i know reading Manga's know pretty good amount of Japanese words that it's fascinating. I personally prefer the anime series to be dubbed. i prefer that in most cases English to be talked with. I mean even in Movies i don't like it to be dubbed in my Lang or any others if the original one was English. *shrugs* but in the Japanese case i prefer it to be dubbed if it will be dubbed into English. though not all the English dub is cool. I for once i adore the English dubs made by Canadian corporations. the actors add deep effects to the dubbed characters. like Gundam wing series.

alex: Really? That's amazing! Especially as Jepanese really isn't the easiest language to learn I think. I mean, look at all those numerous signs alone. But I think I get what you mean: having a good dubbing with poeple who add depth to their characters just through their voice is really invaluable.
Reaaaally old and so melancholic, but still or maybe even because this one I just love it: Styx - Boat on the river

Well as soon as I can afford it I'm gonna get Rosetta Stone so I can learn Japanese.. They say of all the languages in the world that English is the hardest to learn because we have so many rules that make no sense. Currently I really only know random Japanese words.. like Koibito, Arigatou, Niihao, Konnichiwa and Shimatta.
But yeah.. I prefer english dubbed anime because I don't like trying to read subtitles at 2am XP Plus if the company doing the dubbing is really good at it you almost forget that the character's mouths are moving to Japanese words and not the english you hear lol. (Funimation is one of those companies imo)
And I agree.. the Canadian voice actors are almost never flat or bland. (Unless the character is supposed to be that is lol)
That's the only reason I'm not fond of the AMG film because all the dub voices were so flat.. Personally nobody does a better english voice for Keiichi than Drew Aaron. (From the TV series)

Khei: nice to know that you are going to learn Japanese. It's a vital language. though i don't know of it but x) as for me the better dub cast voices's i like are Mark Hildreth, Lisa Ann Beley, Brad Swaile, and Brian Drummond

And since I'm at work waiting for the one appointment we have today (and I left all my DVDs at home.) I'm polluting my mind with my first anime love, Slayers. Slayers NEXT actually.. Episode 7 "Sudden Cooking" has got to be my favorite.. (Obviously Chimera's make good Anchors and mercenaries with long blonde hair make good Lake Dragon bait)
(One of these days I'll actually post videos to the music I tend to listen to lol)
@ Doubar Well for a native English speaker everything else is hard to learn.. (Being pre-programed to implement certain rules that only apply to English) I'm pretty fast to pick up stuff.. a friend of mine (Who's Canadian but of Ukrainian descent) has been trying to teach me some Russian. I'm not doing so hot there lol. Far as Japanese goes tho.. Spelling in Romanji is very easy.. everything's spelled exactly as it sounds.. Learning Kanji/Hiragana is a bit tougher.. I can recognize a little of Hiragana but not much..

Khei: Aww, that's cool. I've never been a language person so to say. I did good at French but well ... I find learning languages to be difficult. *shrugs* But just the better if you're talented there. I truly admire poeple who learn languages easily.
