"You are my inspiration"? Whoa, I'm afraid I even don't know that one. Such a pity it's gone as well.  And yeah, I am glad I saved some of the vids. They're little gems and part of why I am now such an active fan.  Before, I was but a silent lurker - I didn't even know that fans were still online. But then, in 2007 I tried YT and found out there were fanvids about the show. Up to that point I had not even known that such a thing does exist - fanvids I mean. It is the beautiful video, I had the suspicion that the author could be someone from us but i was not sure.
I also started with it a few months ago and i love it, although i think that i use some scenes more often than the others (but is is natural probably that i use my favourite scenes the most)

@doubar: sure, I'll tell you how it was.  manche: "Go the distance" is a great song, can't wait to see your vid. And yep, the "Far away" video was one of mine. It has been deleted with my previous account (floflo185) and I think it was blocked when I tried to reupload it on my new chanel....  I can still upload it on Dailymotion if you want. Most of fan vids are from DL members, we invaded Youtube when we joined the Forum. ;D |

@ban: Aw, so lovely to hear you liked the singer so much. I have a very lovely memory about the first time I listened to her music. When I was 15, it was the time I started listening to folk music. There were 11 songs I liked the a lot. I listened to these song until I memorized them and I even started learning to sing them. When my parents had the new folk music CD, I also tried the new songs but I didn't listen from the first to the last song. I had a look at the singer names I chose the most beautiful name in that CD "Nhu Quynh" to started listening. It was a good choice of mine. The songs were sung by that singer were the best songs in that CD. I remembered her name since that day. Another time, when I heard a good voice from the living room, I came out to who was singing. I saw a very beautiful singer on TV and her voice was great. I really adored her beauty, the very traditional one, then I found some of her pics on CD covers and I liked them a lot. But I still didn't care about what song she sang or her name. Until a day my sister told me that I only listened to Nhu Quynh's music and it made me jump in surprise. I read the CD's covers and my sister was right. All the song I liked were sung by only one singer. Nhu Quynh and the beautiful singer I saw on the TV and the singers sang 11 songs I liked, they're just one. I must say at that moment I felt a little funny and also a little proud of her. She is not only beautiful but also a talented singer.  ;D Oh, and since you're talking about fanvid. I have a bad new. The folk music can't be used in creating a fanvid because its melody is too soft and too romantic for an adventurous show. So, I think I'll not be able to make any fanvid in the future.  |

Together we created well over a hundret, didn't we (though, admittedly, my own part in this is very small, lol). ;D ;D @ban: Awww, now that sounds like a wonderful story of becoming a fan. And it does indeed show she's a great singer when she managed to fascinate you even when you didn't realize it was her at all. Oww, so sad though to hear there won't be any fanvids coming from your side for quite some time. I really like your style and the emotions you put into each work. But I can understand you. Indeed this lovely music doesn't fit too well with a show like AoS. It's two different worlds in a way. |

The people call her "queen of folk songs" as she is the best singer in folk music. She has the bright voice which brighten the song she sings. Her emotional voice is amazingly fits folk music. She didn't succeed when she sang another kind of music even she did very good job. Her voice is most beautiful when she sings folk songs, not mention that her traditional beauty helps her a lot in winning hearts of the folk music fans. I'm not pure fans of folk music but the problem is the other kind of musics which I've been listening to also have the similar characteristics with folk music. The songs I used to make fanvids are the random songs I heard from somewhere and in a moment they hit my feeling and gave me the inspiration to make a vid. However, I have the feeling that the new songs are keep getting worse than the old ones and they don't contain any new in music neither lyrics. Even I got boring with my new vids. Some songs I like can't be used or I don't have enough scenes. I'd love to make a vid with the song "safe and sound". I had the idea at the first time I listened to it but I couldn't find some scenes. Well, I must say there are a lot scenes I want I couldn't find. |

Listening to a band that my boyfriend discovered and that I have fallen in love with today. And right now I am listening to this song of theirs: I don't know, I just adore it. This melancholy and yet there's also something so very lovely about it. |
