Okay, I think this is explicit. Here, you can practice you combat moves for the rpg. RULES: - No killing another player. - Allow the player to accept the hit or avoid it, meaning you can write, "Bryn formed a fireball and threw it at Sarah." Then I will write, "Sarah avoided Bryn's fireball and threw a punch." You CANNOT write, "Bryn formed a fireball and hit Sarah." Refer to the "example of fighting" thread for help distandlands.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=rules&action=display&thread=270 . Let the games begin.

Indeed a very good idea. I have never written out a fight either - not even in my stories. x) So, yeah, a practice ground is not bad me thinks.

Aye, I was thinking practicing would be good, so we can avoid trouble later on in the game. alex: Hehe, Sarah would love to teach you a lesson or two. ;D

ummmmm, windy wouldnt be able to practice her wind power just her sword and her archery. This is because i might blow someone away when they didnt want to be.

Wait ya i actually could pratice my element. I could begin to say.."Wind stared intently at Doubar, and then grew angry forcing her to turn into a storm cloud" Then i could just wait his reply.

@wind: Yep, you could do so. Or you ask Scratch to practice with you. He holds rather elemental powers as well so maybe he'd be in for a challenge. Which reminds me ... hehe, I might ask him for a little fight with Mala, too. x) But it will take quite a while (rpg-wise) till Mala will be strong enough to face the devil in a fight so maybe this can wait.

Remember to NOT "hit" another. You can say that you "threw a fireball," but you cannot say you "threw a fireball and hit him." The opponent can decide to get "hit" or not. A side note: Be realistic. You cannot dodge every attack.

Anybody, Bryn, Wind, Maeve, Caipra, Scratch, Eleana, Rumina, and anybody else who possesses magic, can use them. I was just reemphasizing the general rules.

Okay. But I think wind is right when thinking about best using her powers with an oponent who can hold against it. I mean, this will also happen in the play most likely: those who possess powers will fight against each other and those without will do the same. Having one with magic fighting against one without would be a rather imbalanced thing after all.

Well, Sarah does not have magic but does have a magical shield forged by Scratch. So she cannot create magic, like Bryn or Wind, but magic cannot hurt her. And she most likely with confront both in the play. Plus Scratch and Sinbad or Rumina and Sinbad or Eleana and Doubar/Rongar could face off. There is no rule saying like faces like. Sure, there is a saying to pick on your own size. But does that happen? Usually no. And it would be odd if we had such restrictions. And use your imagination. Xena is no god, but she fought Aires.
