Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahaha, does anyone here remember the little drawing I did for the (non-existent) Papaya scene between Kalani and Majid? Well, one of these things I did to relax after studying latey was... coloring it. ;D On my laptop. With a mouse! xD The result isn't perfect but still I kinda like it. ^^ Hope you enjoy it, too. ;D edit: Wow, accessing this page via another laptop (one which's screen's brightness is relatively low) I have to notice one can hardly make out the differences in Majid's clothing and his and Kalani's hair with such kind of setting. It all seems to be one black/brown mass then. O.o That definitely looks better on my screen. >.> So if any of you is seeing the same dark nothingness... without shading and stuff... sorry. Didn't consider different screen settings when colouring this.  |

Heeeeehehe, happy you guys like it. ;D @ash: Wow, thanx. ^^ @teti: Awwwww, haha, good to know it made you laugh. ;D ;D Bwahaha, but true that... imagening the actors playing that scene... that's almost as hilarious as imagening Kalani and Majid living through it. LOL!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Aw, and sure, do feel free to ask - always. Curiosity is a well-known trait to me so I'll be happy to answer this. :3 As I have no tablet I usually draw the outline with a pencil (that's the drawing I once posted in the plotting-thread: distandlands.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=plot&action=display&thread=42&page=359 ), then scan that in and colour it using GIMP (one of the programs I told you about, you remember? ). Usually I then do some post editing with Paint.NET as I downloaded some tools and effects there that I have not yet found in GIMP. And well yeah, that's pretty much it. I've only just started doing such things (I think my first work of that kind I did in 2010 maybe and ever since have only made two more - this one here included ) which is why my works aren't that sophisticated and usually have a rather weird shadowing to them... but then again as long as they turn out somewhat nice and adorable I'm content with 'em. xD Hope that helps. I do it the same way. Everything I draw starts as a sketch on paper, make an ink copy on onion paper, scan it, and color it in photoshop.
I think I over use gradients and such but I like the overall effect.
