Name:
Ziad
Appearance:
Slender and tall, he has blue eyes and wears a red coat whenever he is not wearing his armor. He always, however, wears a light armored vest, which he prefers over his much heavier armor. Thus, he only wears his suit of armor when going to battle.
Strength:
Ziad is good with his sword and his kicks. He is very athletic.
Character:
As a chief guard, he abides by a code of conduct. However, he has trouble not letting his emotions for Kriss de Valnor stay at bay. He also will do everything he can to protect Kriss and her friend Kalhan. He has no fear in battle.
Bio:
Ziad was the most loyal and finest fighter for Omar of Basra. In return, Omar ranked him as chief guard of the western side of the city. Although Ziad would rather protect Omar in the eastern side of the city, he would not object to Omar's offer. He knew it is important to have the finest guard in the western section, which had fewer soldiers to maintain order.
Omar gave Ziad a legion of men to assist him. He stationed his men throughout the western section. He saw that it would be best if there was a soldier stationed every 100 feet around the city's perimeter and every 10000 square feet within the section. Thus, it was rare to see Ziad with another guard. But at night, he would trek across the western section to keep communication with his men.
One day, he met a tavern owner whom he fell in love with. He knows that he should not be doing this, but he cannot help it. And with further conversations with the tavern owner, Kriss de Valnor, he learned about a runaway princess named Kalhan, who is stalked by an evil king named Marek. Although he is not authorized to help people on personal issues, he agreed to protect Kalhen.
