Name:
Talya
Outer appearance:
If it wasn't for her nasty tongue & thieving nature, Talya would certainly fulfill all criteria of an attractive woman. She is tall & skinny, with unruly black hair framing her childish face & a glint of mischief sparkling in her almond shaped eyes. She maintains her pirate queen dress-code quite by the books, completed with a low-cut white blouse, black leather vest, tight fitting leather pants, black boots & a red bandana along with a purple scarf in a rather unsuccessful attempt to keep those hairs in place. She also has a black rose tattooed on her bosom.
Strengths and skills:
Talya is a fine swordsman, with, as Sinbad described once, "the fastest feet in the high-seas". She is very much able to knock a person unconscious with only a swift movement of her feet. She can sneak out from the middle of a crowd without giving the slightest hint to anyone; the credit goes to her years of expertise at intense pirating and thieving.
Character:
Talya is a mysterious character, fairly unpredictable. To her friends, she is "the black rose of Oman, the pirate queen whose tongue is as quick as her sword", and it is not a very rare situation where she has to rely only on her tongue! Some of the times she is full of laughter and fun, the other times- full of trouble. Sometimes she can be found sneaking around treasure rooms, coveting for something that can be of great value in the black markets, other times she is found talking about "sense of justice", "moral duty to correct the horrid acts of intolerance and prosecution", "right the wrong" and whenever questioned on her motives, she always answers, "Lets just say, I am making amends for past sins!". She is very much aware of her freedom that being a pirate has granted her, and she vowed to herself to use her freedom to free others, but that is not always the first thing in her mind. Along with all these, comes her flirty nature, which she has used, on more than one occasion, to yield the situation in her favor, though it doesn't work on Sinbad, the only man to possess a weak spot in her heart.
But, despite all her wrong-doings and evil flickers of mind, she is basically a good, kind-hearted person, who knows how to value her friends and helps them her best time to time.
Bio:
A stand-alone figure from the very beginning of life, Talya had to struggle through the harsh realities, and chose the easiest means to deal with them all- means of lies and deceit. She picked-pockets, filched and sacked, wrecked havoc in the market-places, and was soon declared an outlaw in her own village in Oman. There was only one place in the whole wide world for a girl like her- the open seas. She was meant for pirating- and was a very good one at it, combining her razor-sharp tongue with her skills at swords and stealth.
Around her twentieth birthday, she met a guy, equally reckless as she, named Sinbad the sailor, on a very busy day at Baghdad. She was held accused of stealing a precious gem from some merchant, which she frantically denied but couldn't convince the authorities enough. It was definitely the gallows for her, unless Sinbad intervened. He insisted that if she can't be proved of her guilts, then she must be set free. The general refused, and he and Sinbad got into a fight. Sinbad was finally able to knock him unconscious and freed the pirate queen. Talya instantly took a liking in Sinbad, befriended him and his giant brother, Doubar and signed up for crewing Nomad. Together they sailed to ports after ports, pried in uncharted waters and gone through quite some adventures. Occasionally they found themselves in big troubles, mostly on Talya's accord. Once they were hold prisoner's in Sultan's war galley at Faluca-stand, one other time they got themselves into the infamous Ajarbyzan jail, but somehow managed to escape it all. She even get into a warm relationship with Sinbad, but, once he realized that she was not to be corrected of her stealing and troublesome nature, he called it an end. She was broken indeed, but said nothing to the young captain, and realized that it was not meant to be. So, she left the Nomad to be on her own, but still remained a friend to Sinbad and Doubar. They met again in Lenopia, but only for a brief period and most of that time, she was forced to find out ways from the trouble she led them into.
Back to her notorious ways, she travelled, pirated to be exact, to the most distant of lands, but she never managed herself a ship or a crew. She was absolutely alright with it, being the lonesome missy all her life. Little did she knew when she set foot on an unknown, interesting looking island, that she would cross path with a certain evil-genius of a witch, who will change her free-bird style of living into quite a hellish one, and make her to betray her friends. Talya has to choose between her life and the lives of those who she held dear, and that is not going to be easy.
