A little update:

Taking up on Doubar´s suggestion, we now have a games corner in the off topic area. I moved the already existing game threads to this area, so please continue posting there. Any new game threads please put in there as well.

Update on skins:

The first two Christmas themed skins have been created so you can decorate your browsers if you feel like it. I´ll see that I get more done, one or two per day from now onwards so we have a nice collection. Thanks once more to the banner makers.

If you don´t know how to change the board skin this is what you have to do.

Click on your profile
Click "modify profile"
Scroll down until you reach "select skin"
Choose another skin
Click on modify profile

Some of you noticed a few days ago that there were three or four very long encoded posts made by an unregistered guest. I deleted those code posts and disabled the IP they were coming from.

After some research on the proboards support board I have found out that other forums have experienced this sort of spam, too. It was sent by a spambot in China.
Therefore, if this happens again, please let me know and send me a link about it and I will see to it. Also, do not click on any links that might occur in such a coded, weird post because these are usually links leading to porn sites or spyware.

Following a suggestion by Doubar, there is now a new section under "off topic" which I labelled as "DL off topic archives" This is where threads that are closed will be moved, closed once they became too long and a follower thread had to be made. I agree with Doubar saying that this is a good idea because not only will it clean up the off topic a bit but also will it allow us to make these threads which partly contain personal discussions and stuff to be kept to board members only in the long run.

Just in case anyone wonders:
The new member, rytrytr, is / was a spambot or spammer. I became suspicious when I saw that the email adress was random and weird and by the fact that it´s around the same location as earlier spambots we had a few weeks back. That and some other stuff combined made me check with the proboards support forum and the admin there confirmed that this is a spammer indeed since he had to remove posts from that person / machine earlier today as well.
Therefore, just in case you´re wondering.
