Sinbad's love life

@derm: Well, if Lee hadn't didn't, then Sinbad would have never become a sailor I think. After all it was Lee's death in the seas that made Sinbad choose his way (or at least that's how it was shown in the series). *shrugs*

Yeah, Lea IS the motivation for Sinbad to become a sailor. Thus, Rumi wouldn't have chased after him, he wouldn't meet his crew (sans Doubar), and he'll end up marrying Lee and have kids with her, all in a mundane fashion.

Though there's also the possibility that Turok and co. might invade the home he's in and Sinbad'll be forced to play the role of the hero, sailor or not

Someone should write a fiction with Lea in it and place Sinbad in another awful dilemma! haha Evil turok loves to make the poor sailor suffer!

I voted Maeve of course. Was kinda surprised why Bryn wasn't included in the poll. Anyway, I think...nope, I know Sinbad and Maeve fits each other really well - their bickerings are fun, sweet and full of chemistry! And both Zen and Jacqueline (as pointed out earlier) play their roles very well.

One reason why Bryn-Sinbad apparently lacked Chemistry is (I suspect) due to the scriptwriters/ directors who perhaps wanted a different approach to a Sinbad/Bryn relationship. perhaps they felt that the Casanova-falls-for-the-girl-at-his-side might grow on the viewers.. They probably didn't want a relationship that reminded viewers of maeve - after all, they sort of got rid of her character (or were hovering along the lines of 'just keep her alive but removed for sinbad, just in case we have to bring her back')... hence lack of chemistry. But bryn/sinbad relationship is sweet and I would probably had accept it if Season 2 had been Season 1 (ie, Maeve wasn't introduced at all)

I believe Sinbad still loves Maeve - his choice to go after Maeve when Mala reminded him 'Heart, Head then sword' says it all I think... and the look on his face...

@turok: Aye, Sean forget to add Bryn to the poll. We then decided that she's be the "others" option.
But, true, a fic with Lea would be nice (even though, I have the feeling I read something like this somewhere... *ponders* But think in that one she's only been a minor character).
And, agree with everything you have said about the pairings.

I remembered reading about her too.. and in that story, Lea came back... and she wanted Sinbad. Maeve who was pregnant with Sinbad's child initially wanted to tell Sinbad. I'll see if I can find it in my messy laptop and post it up in the fan fic thread (if it's not there already)
