And to make it clear: I respect all B/S fans, I just get other point of view You know what? I think exactly the same thing! For me, it will always be Maeve, and no one else! I was so sad when she disappeared in the second season! I wanted to stop watching the show! But then I learned to like Bryn, and I really like that character...but I never wanted her to be with Sinbad! That's my opinion, of course! |

I'm a Maeve/Sinbad shipper all the way.
Maybe it's because I know for a fact that Bryn was added on simply because they needed a leading Lady, her amnesia, and all to convient Rainbow bracelet that "connected" her to Sinbad was the most convient and cliched way to get her on the crew, but I never liked how she was introduced.
Not that I don't like Bryn's character, I do, but she was brought in, in a horrible way that made me dislike her as a possible love interest for Sinbad.
Also, her relationship/family would have made for a too awful and completely cliched soap-opera and there are to many of those repeating storylines out there so that was yet another strike against her as a possible pair for Sinbad....

Remember the line:"stop bickering like a married couple"? that was funny and so true, they did do that. Not to mention it was easy to tell that they were in love and he and Bryn didn't have that chemistry at all, as friends perhapes but not as lovers like Sinbad and Maeve do.

I say maeve because they've really played their parts perfectly. both jackie and zen had pure, authentic chemistry and genuine love. i think the music that you'll hear whenever they had a moment also contributed to their beautiful on-screen relationship... also the fire that they both vented at each other occasionally made them even more perfect for each other, because it brings you back to real life couples... the expression on sinbad's face upon maeve's departure was surely heart rendering....i mean..i guess we all know how we felt when we realised there wasn't gonna be any more maeve/sinbad scenes.... (the horror i felt!  )..anyway...so yep..they were both perfect and the producers found perfect actors for the role. kudos to Jacq n Zen! |

What? A poll? This is interesting, I didn't know the board had such an option. ;D
Anyway, I've voted for Maeve even if I've thought for a while to give my vote to Leah. After all, together with Talya she is the only one really canon if we have to pair her with Sinbad.
In Maeve's and Bryn's cases the relationship was only hinted, always implied but never declared. Anyway, having to choose a female character who "fits" the captain I think that Maeve is the best one.
But I've often wondered... what would have happened if Leah hadn't died?

They would have never found Maeve, or if they did, I would have liked to see Leah jealousy of the way Sinbad talks to Maeve, similar to Maeve's jealousy toward Bryn. ;D
