[Kriss]

Summary:
Sinbad and Doubar are attacked by a couple of pirates as they leave a tavern. Guards loyal to the self-centered Prince Armound arrive to break up the scuffle, arresting everyone involved. While in prison, Sinbad and Doubar are confronted by the pirate Radue and his gang of cutthroats. The brothers are forced to act as if they are pirates in order to stay alive. Radue and his gang plan to break out of prison using exploding stick they snuck in. Once they are free, they intend to steal the royal treasures from the guests at a party Prince Armound is hosting for Matsue, the emissary of a local Shah.

In order to protect the innocent party guests, Sinbad continues to play pirate, joining Radue and his gang when they escape. Meanwhile, Doubar returns to The Nomad to gather the rest of the crew. Back at the castle, Radue discovers that his old acquaintance, Von, is the self-centered Prince’s loyal protector. The pirate leader promises nobody will be harmed unless they provoke him. When several of the guests try and push their luck, Radue and his men strike them dead without giving it a second thought. Though the pirates steal plenty of priceless gems and jewelry from the guests, they plan to keep the crowd hostage until Matsue’s ship arrives, knowing even greater treasures are onboard. They also plan to steal the ship to make their escape. Radue commands Sinbad to assist Von in making sure all the guest rooms in the castle are empty.

While searching the rooms, Von reveals to Sinbad that he knows he really isn’t a pirate. Sinbad is surprised that an honorable man like Von would serve a brat like Prince Armound. Von reveals that he doesn’t serve the Prince, but the Prince’s late father who he promised to look after him for. After hiding several guests they find, Sinbad and Von return to the party. Drax, one of Radue’s most trusted pirates, blows Sinbad’s cover by revealing that he hid several guests. Sinbad barely manages to evade Tang and several other pirates. Cleverly, he ties a rope to his waist and leaps out a window as Tang throws an exploding stick his way. Thinking Sinbad is dead, Tang and the others return to relate the news to Radue.

Sinbad uses Dermott as a carrier pigeon to relate a plan with the rest of his crew. With the help of the bartender Finn, who disapproves of both piracy and the Prince’s self-centered rule, Doubar, Bryn, Rongar and Firouz disguise themselves as Matsue and his entourage. They crash the party and defeat the pirates. Although Sinbad is able to kill Radue, the noble Von dies a heroic death. Once he arrives, Matsue berates Armound for his self-centered actions. He also decides to honor Von by erecting a statue of him in the town square.
