Aw, such a cutie! So you had her 17 years, right? It's always a tragedy when our beloved ones have to leave, especially when they shared so many years with us ...

Yes, but she lived a long and happy life. Not many cats live 19 years. I was surprised because she was so tiny, about 2 feet long including her tail. Anyway, I got to spoil her. She enjoyed table scraps and even baby food besides her usual chrunchies (cat food). We even had a stocking for her during Christmas.

;D Guess everyone who's got a pet and loves it starts to spoil it at times. I for one have spoilt my hamster with noodles. Oh how he loves them ... xD
But, you're right. 19 has been a high age and guess she's been lucky to spent this time with you and your family ...

Mine loves noodles too. But then again, he pretty much eats anything

Oh no. Jack's not like this at all. If it went his way he'd only eat the best corn (which in fact would be sunflower or pumpkin ), all sorts of veggies and sweets like noodles or nuts. Well okay maybe some pea to make sure there's some alternation but don't you think that he'd come to you only 'caus you've got some simple corn in your hand .... ;D

*lol* ;D Pan most likes carrots... and apples, parika, nuts, egg, natural yoghurt, corn and the usual hamster food stuff.

Thank you Dermott. Snuggle will be proud.
True, cats don't think, according to my environmental science professor. They come to you because you feed them. But, I still think she kind-of knew. I miss her greeting me at the door whenever I came home. And she even knew when I called, because I could hear her meowing.

Of course cats can think!!! Ok, personally I never owned any cat but I tamed one last winter in my backyard and let me tell you something; it took me a whole week to get her to trust me, without food might I add!!! I would just sit on the grass and stare at her for hours, whispering soft words and she would simply look back at me from a certain distance. Progressively, she wandered closer and closer until I could touch her. Then I could literally take her in my arms! If cats couldn't think, I believe the whole process during which I gained her trust wouldn't have occurred. After a certain amount of time, she established that I wasn't a threat and that I wouldn't hurt her... She kept visiting me even though she knew that I never fed her. I guess we just enjoyed each other's company... Here are two pics of her! Her name is Nala. (I was inspired by The Lion King)

Whoaa, anyone help me please. Can't hold him back any longer. *tries desperately to hold back a certain first mate that's trying to get to those delicious muffins he saw* ... But seriously Rumina, they look soooo yummy! ;D And Rumina: Nala sure is a beauty. Sweet pics you took of her. And if I might add this, what you did there reminds me a bit of the AoS-Maeve. It's a gift to have animals trust you. And I agree to you. Cats - as well as so many other animals - think! Maybe not in the same way we do. They might not be able to count numbers or discuss about the universe (btw: who knows if they really don't do? ) but sure enough they have their own thoughts. Where would trust come from if not from a certain thinking. Tia might have learned that I gave her food and that she needed not fear me, but more than this she always hid behind my back or in my arms when something strange occured ... although there's never been any situation in which she could have learned that via the "simple" way of conditioning or imitation. And hey, after all many animals dream. And dreams are a way of learning - sorting thoughts and experiences. *thinks of her little Jack that sometimes out of his sleep growls and rants as if someone was trying to steal his food*
