White is more powerful but harder to learn... if I remember correctly.

*nods in agreement* Telling from how I got it, Turok's right. I mean, it would be senseless anyways if black magic was easier to learn and more powerful as well. There has to be *plays the smart-ass* a *stresses the next word* balance. And while white magic is more powerful when mastered, black magic can be learned way more easily and faster.

There are also trade-offs for dabbling Black magic. Like loss of body parts, butchering of one's humanity/morals, and of course, time alteration that may do more harm than good.
Inner Scratch: Which I have no qualms about, haha! >:-)

Wouldn´t it be logical to be like: white magic is harder to learn and more powerful whereas black magic is easier to learn but a little less powerful (unless one goes to great length to sacrifice body parts and the like ) Or am I mixing Star Wars stuff into this?

Nah, wouldn't think you're mixing any other stuff into this. Turok and I have the same opinion as you.

I agree with you all. White magic is harder to learn but more powerful whereas black magic is easier to learn and less powerful.
Didn't DimDim, Caipra, or was it DimDim's friend that Maeve held as he died in Masked Mauraders said it?

It's Caipra that says so to Maeve in Double Trouble, methinks.

I agree with you all. White magic is harder to learn but more powerful whereas black magic is easier to learn and less powerful. Well, I like black magic to be more powerful than white magic.

Black magic is more powerful, in terms of enticing as well, whereas White magic is hard to learn, and thus most people deter from the latter to the former .

Buuut, there needs to be a balance in this world, dear friends (Bryn and Scratch). If black magic was more powerful and easier to learn than it would have outruled the white magic ages ago. There would be no way the light had been able to exist next to the dark. There is always a balance. And thus I still would say white is more powerful but way harder to learn whereas black is less powerful but way easier to learn.

Buuut, there needs to be a balance in this world, dear friends (Bryn and Scratch). Such small minds for such an imperfect being. Yes, because there are more people who practice white magic than black magic. So, less powerful + more people = more powerful + less people. ;D It also makes it more fun that way. And that is one reason why I hate the power of the three elements idea. I mean seriously there are other people who practice white magic and having the three elements who cause an imbalance.

And here I though there were roughly as many people practising black magic as there were white. Honestly, if black magic really was more powerful and easier to learn: why would anyone one earth still practise white? That'd make no sense ... well, not as long as you award magicians at least the smallest amount of intelligence.
