I read the first trilogy (Farseer) in German, the second (Tawny Man) in English, English is better, but the tranlation is fairly good.
And I love the talking to animals part of it. It´s more like a sort of telepathy, a kind of magic that is seen as something perverse in the main character´s world, because the humans who can do it bond with the animals in a way. In German the term is "verschwistern", not sure what it is like in English, I´d guess for something like bonding. And he finds that poor little wolf cub on a market and raises him and he tells him his name´s Nighteyes cause he was the last of the litter and his mum called him Nighteyes cause he was the last to open his eyes and ... well, Nighteyes is pretty much one of the most amazing characters ever.

Inner wind: We cant show them this song. Outer wind: Yes we can This song has some meaning to me, not just because it makes me laugh, but my Papa from the east coast let me listened to this song. And when ever I feel lonesone, i put this on to make me laugh, and not miss my family who live so far away. Beware this song isnt attended for people under 16. (No swearing but.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAsraTQxmMg&feature=related

Oh indeed. This is fascinating. I mean, it kinda looks stupid (with those poeple having to be all so stiff anf stuff) but is simply fascinating. And I for one admire those poeple for moving their legs so fast and in such a controlled way.

Nha, I think falling asleep won't happen there. The rhythm is too powerful. And a dear friend of mine has seen them live once and she said it was brilliant.
