Wow that is a beautiful video! I've heard the song on the radio and quite liked it but the video that goes with it is something else. I just wish they'd showed the girl reuniting with her brother though! But it is sort of awesome that she didn't crumple and acknowledged defeat but kept going. In that sense it really is a lot like Dermott and Maeve... Considering she managed to travel from (modern names) Ireland to (presumably) Iraq, as a single woman in ye olden days... Girl keeps on going, is all I'm saying.

Funny enough, the song's not overly famous over here. The radio stations really only play "Little Talks". At any rate though: right?! I love that vid. Though I, too, would have wished for them to reunite but then I realized that this fit Maeve and Dermott even better, because at least as far as the show went the Celt didn't reach her aim either and Dermott was still trapped, too, just like the video-girl's brother. Oh, and well spoken about Maeve.

I hear "Little Talks" a LOT on the local station I listen to at work. Have it on my MP3 player too..
This one's sorta become my personal theme song.. Makes me feel a lil better when I get depressed which has been happening a lot lately..

Aw, I can see why you like it so much, Ash. And hope things will get better for you soon. *hugs* .... I iz very much in love with "Safe and Sound" (Capital Cities) and "Let her go" (Passenger). Normally I'm not much into these songs that are as repetetive in their lyrics and music as "Safe and Sound" is but this one just strikes a nerve. Gives me kind of a good feeling to listen to it. And Passenger... well, would have never thought I'd ever like a voice as squawking as this one... but there's something to it that's just cute and which makes you feel like nothing's as bad as it might seem to be (my impression at least).

@doubar: I like both of those songs, I really like "let her go" by "passengers" It does take a few minutes to get over his voice, but once you do and you listen to the flow of the song, it is very well put together. Love the drummer because he uses the same cymbols and his style of drumming is the same as mine.

Haha, yeah, it needs some time to get over the voice, right? xD But glad to know you like it. And awww, so that's about how your drumming sounds like? That's so cool!!!

Sharing with you an amazing song today, that is somewhat emo/depressing but incredibly beautiful as well - or at least to me it is. Just love the bagpipes in it - they seem so odd placed and yet fit so perfectly into this. And the part from 2:52 onwards... Seriously love the whole thing to no end.

It is very melancholy, but very beautiful too. I love the bagpipes too, it gives it a sort of haunting quality I think.
In the category melancholy songs, here's another one... One that reminded me of Maeve and Sinbad oddly enough, in a very sad way.

I love the bagpipes too, it gives it a sort of haunting quality I think. Haunting - exactly. Didn't know which word to use best for it, but I think that's just the perfect one. And as for the song you posted: Oh my, you're right - it does fit the two quite well during S2 or any other scenario where she's left behind... So sad somehow. And yet... it's actually fascinating, because the song has something light and almost playful about it - like raindrops or the ripple of gentle waves. It's an amazing contrast to the lyrics. Thanx for sharing!
