Nods...the timing is very off, but it was a nice thing to see...the crew relaxing and having fun! Indeed! I did like that very much Even if maybe they should have gone for a more historically appropriate song. xD Lol! Well, the show is historical nonsense anyway - in many aspects. xD But still we love it ... and the song. Uh, and you know how to play the harp, Bran? That's amazing. Yes, it does seem that the creators of the show did not know much about history. xD But we love it anyhoo, eh? ;D And yup, I kow how to play the harp. I have a lovely little Celtic harp (well, it's almost as tall as I am, but it's much smaller than a concert harp!) and I love to play it. ;D I'm not very good, but it's fun anyhow! Yes! The harp, I was told, is an incredibly difficult to master! Is that true Bran? ((Looks curious)) Yes and no.... In some ways it can be and in others it's not. I learned piano first, so I knew about notes and things but there are certainly differences between playing piano and playing harp! e.g. you hold your hands completely different! I learned basics fast, but being able to play some of the more complicated pieces... not yet. Of course, it doesn't help that I don't have a whole lot of practice time. This song is probably one of my favourite scenes of the series. It's very beautiful Agreed! It's already one of my favorite songs (and one I can actually play quite well on my harp lol) and it was very beautifully done in this episode. ;D And can't wait to hear the music you will be uploading to YT! Just from your description it sounds utterly beautiful!

@anthea: I'm really looking forward to listen to your creation too! Sounds amazing! And I love Lorena Mckennit too! she makes wonderful songs! (Mummer's dance is my favourite of Course) And wow, I actually didn't know that the song at the beginning of the episode was a famous song...*goes to listen to the original song*

Kahlan: Mummer's Dance is beautiful! ;D My favorite is probably Prospero's Speech, though.

@kal and Bran Mummer's Dance is probably one of my favourites as well. It's very, very beautiful Well, I can't find the MP3 version I saved of Maeve's Melody, but it's on my iPod but I don't know how to get a copy off my iPod because it's now converted to a whole other file type and so long story short, I sort can't get it up right now... But on the backing track I did use Lorrena McKennit's Skellig, so here's that song if you want to listen to it.

Aww, very nice song this is. It's somewhat mystical - really enjoyed listening to it. Thanx for sharing. Any maybe, some day you'll even find out to bring your creation back to your PC to upload it. P.S.: The vid is a nice one, too. I still love the scene in "Return of the King" when at the end Aragorn becomes king and the Elfs are there... and amongst them is Arwen.

While I do like the scene with Aragorn and Arwen, for its beautiful and whimsical and romantic, I guess I'm also different.
I like Aragorn and Eowyn.
Not that Aragorn and Arwen are great, but something about his calmness and her 'heat' seemed to mix well together...when Eowyn's written well.
Arwen always seemed much to old for Aragorn, despite his elder age too. And, perhaps I'm a bit to synical, but one meeting near the Golden Woods and he's in love for twenty years? How's that happen? And, maybe I'm wrong, but I don't remember them speaking much to each other either during that first meeting?
I guess I liked the fact that Eowyn was to be his guide in the original first draft of his story. JRR Tolkin only changed it because of the social morals of the time didn't include free willed women in highborn places. Too many people objected and Eowyn and Arwen were switched.

@firouz: Aw, no, no need to jump. I do understand you, dear. And, I have to admit I didn't read the books, but think that Arwen hasn't really been anyone there, right? And true, her role is more the one of a typical "house wife" so to say (well, asides from where she saved Frodo) plus - indeed, meeting one time and being in love for 20 yrs is kinda odd... but I just like how they portrayed that relationship in the films. And that scene mentioned is just... awwwww.

Well, in the movies, I agree she rocks! In the books, well, if I remember right, it wasn't her that saved Frodo...it was Glorifindel or Erestor. I can't recall which one! I'm pretty sure it was Glorifindel though. And yea, Arwen was portrayed as a 'house-wife' where as Eowyn was head strong and independant...not something good to introduce into 1920s-1930s, (is that the right time frame... ) England! LOL
