that's true! But actually when I wrote this I was thinking about something else... Like what? Oh no!!!!!!!!! Caipra has a secret admirer!!!!!!!!!!! oh no... men... This has nothing to do with a secret admirer or something. I just remembered that episode of Sinbad "the village vanished" ; after Sinbad kisses Maeve he kisses another woman and Maeve is jealous. So he tells her that he had better kisses. and, in the french version he said "I just added another one on my list" but I don't understand what he says in the english version... watch at 6:35 www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-SweqK8X8I

Maeve: She seemed…appreciative.
Sinbad: I’ve had better kisses…and recently, I might add.

It goes like this: Maeve: She seemed appreciative. Sinbad: I´ve had better kisses. And recently I might add. Weird, how that´s totally been changed into something different in the French dub.

It's just "Recently, I might add" that I didn't understand! Thanks Sinbad and Kriss! @sinbad: yes they often change things in the French dub...but sometimes it's completely useless...and stupid...it changes the whole meaning of the sentence

Nah, I think the meaning is entirely different, because in the English version he is very obviously hinting at the kiss with Maeve whereas in the French version it seems like much more of a ladykiller comment.

"I just added another one on my list" means the same thing as "and recently, I might add." The second he does not say "list," which could be confusing because of what is meant by "list." But from the contents, it should be understood what "list" is referring to: the kiss.

In that case, the French dub is fine for me. But let me give you another exemple... In the episode "the gift" in season 2, everybody is attacked by those little toys and when they find Bryn in her room Sinbad says in English "you're alright? What happened?" But, in French he says "What is it? Is there something wrong?" But he says it as if he was completely unaware of what might happen to her...that's weird! (If don't know which scene I'm talking about, it's here at 0:55 www.youtube.com/watch?v=LiBo0Ygl_FY) @sinbad; btw, I didn't know why you wrote "temper, temper, temper" under your avatar until I watched the English version...he never says that in French...

Hehe, yeah they sound a little different. Some meaning is always lost in translation. ;D And maybe French doesn't have a word for "temper."

"Temper" means "calm down"...or something like that? Anyway, that's why sometimes I like watching a movie or a tv show in his original version!
